| Thanks for the answer guys. I appreciate it. (I uses lance charge a lot, but mainly as a way to move around rather than to attack).
I have another question (sorry, I'm new to Tri so I got a lot of thing that i don't know about). What monster is affected by hunting horn? I know Barioth is can be lured with it (and maybe Rathalos, have to check that out). Or is it just useful form making antidote horn (aside from Barioth)?
Thanks | |

| All monsters respond to it. It's basically useful for two things:
1) Making a monster walk over a trap 2) Making ala stop screwing around in the middle of lava

| Yeah. You know how Barioth start at Area 6 then it'll go to either Area 7 or 2? I use the Hunting Horn to make it go to Area 2 because it's a pain trying to fight him in 7.
I've only tested the between area capability on Barioth though (and it really work on him). I assume that it make a monster going to any Area we choose, as long as there's a chance of the monster will go there by itself from its spawning point I.E: Rathalos to either Area 3 or 4 of Volcano, Rathian to either Area 5 or 3 and so on and so forth.
I didn't know about the walking to traps and stop monster screwing in the lava though. Thanks for that /yes/

| Okay, for funzies, imma try using some adren+2 lancing. Anyone got the right combo to eat/use, in order to get your health down to the exact right spot? I've seen plenty of people use the same combination in vids., but i can't remember it. | |

I'm not kidding. 2 LBB (LBB+ for Blademaster) detonated with an SBB+ is usually enough to get you below 40%. Of course, I'm assuming you're using fully-upgraded Barroth set and eat something that does not give you health boost.
Of course, I'm not expert and I haven't tried adrenaline hunting yet. However, I do get blown up by my bombs (including barrel and clust [what i get for trying to shoot wyvern's face close up with clust LV3]) a lot so I can at least approximate how much life each blast shave.

Eat for AuL, pop some Mega Nutrients till you get a full health bar (The bar will be full, but have no health in it), and then use bitterbugs/normal LBB+SBB until the attack stat in the menu increases. Then you should be good to go. Just one thing. If you do use bombs to get your health down, remember that bombs still leave a bit of red in the bar. If you don't pay attention, you may regenerate some of that and lose adrenaline. You can use SBB or minion attacks to get rid of the red.

Well, only at hr 51 can you get ala/jho hammers, the others with dragon element. The ancient one is slightly worse, but usually the best you can get on monsters with dragon weakness. It basically depends on what hammers you already got. If you are gonna make the lagi hammer, then the ancient one is kind of useless, but then again, lagi weapons are almost always overshadowed by ala/jho weps. Post your list of hammers perhaps? Or just upgrade it for collective purposes.

| Hey, sorry to be bothering so much but I got another question.
What is the best weapon to cut off a Barioth tail when you're solo? I need some Barioth Tail for my Azure Crest+ but it just won't come off. I know hammer and Bowgun can't cut the tail off (Slicing S is a waste of whetstones).
Here's another thing I found out when farming for Barioth: for easy kill, use SnS. Barioth is a monster that just say "C'mon, use Sword and Shield on me". It's hard to get breaks though.

If I need a tail chopped, I always grab my GS. You can hit and run effectively with or without Critical Draw on Bari (low Life and break point numbers).

| If you're lazy, get earplugs, even if you have to use the rathian armour. Let barioth leave his first area, or he'll spot you early. If you have a decent GS, then using 2 roars (normal and rage) to lvl 3 charge his tail, you should be able to get it off with a little bit more draw attacking. Or just use shock traps.
On another note: You could break the wings first. His tail doesn't have anything really important or hard to get. Also, when you break his wings when he isn't in a trap or paralyzed, he'll fall over for a few seconds. If you get a lvl 3 charge off on his tail both times, you oughta be close to cutting it off.
Besides, you'll wanna break one of his wings first, it'll make him recover from his jumping attacks, making combos slow, and opening his tail up for attack.

| Okay, NOPE. The aquamatic longshot may be the only rapidfiring clust gun, but it's not a viable option for any kind of hunt. But first: 4 Levels total, so 3 upgrades from when you buy it/get it from ancientshard. Total upgrading: 3 HK coins, 6 Los coins, 2 Jho coins, and an ian ruby.
Now as to why you should never use it seriously:
It has worthless ammo. There's a few prerequisites for clusting: You have to fire lvl 2 clust, you can make 50 extra of those, you'll need them. You'll also need to be able to fire them rapidly, so avoid recoil, and try to get a lot of shots.
Long story shot: You can't clust with longshot, it makes you look like a noob. You can't make enough ammo anyway.

Ok, so I heard that the Longshot is not the best for clusting, but i figured it will be a good starter clust gun. Anyway, mind sharing a better gun? I plan to use it with this set: http://divinewh.im/s/1.C_1v_1o.j_1h.W_1n.j_1l_p.1B.V.V

| The set is ALMOST fine. Just get recoil down+3, that's neccessary to fire clust lvl 2. Which is what you're gonna shoot. Longshot it only viable for offline runs, but with unupgraded longshot with bonus shot (clust damage is fixed, weapon damage doesn't matter), i take about as long to kill a monster as with a low rank elemental gun.
Anyhow, for serious clusting (i'm thinking you'll only do alatreon, pierce is better except on him), use Rathling+ frame, Rathling+ barrel, and agnablaster stock. This will give you 3 lvl 2 cluster shots, which you can fire WITHOUT recoil if you have recoil down+3. With load up and clust all up, it'll give you 5 clust lvl 2, which is the max you can combine.
You shouldn't bother with any other clust shots, the amount you can make, and the recoil just doesn't add up, if you want to do serious damage. Also, it's really only usefull on alatreon.
On another point: i'd get the longshot and leave it unupgraded, it's fun to poke around with if you have bonus shot. Irritates the hell outta people.

http://divinewh.im/s/3.V.V.V_1v_1o.j_1h.W_1n.j_1l_11.W That's essentially THE clusting set, besides switching out some jhen+ for gaan+ or OF gaan (don't remember, i think it was +coil), in order to get recovery speed+1. I think that with the correct charm, you ought to be able to get a single extra C skill, bombardier would be useful. 3 Clust gunners is almost enough for ala, 1 sleep gunner could make breaking the horns very easy.

Questions are good, as long as you pay attention to the answers. First off, I wouldn't recommend getting sleep melee weapons, unless you have a huge bulk of money and resources. The final sleep weapons upgrades cost an obscene amount of Bird Wyvern Gems, are aren't even good. But if you're dead set on getting it, who am I to stop you? In general, SwAx, GS, Lance and LS all work just fine for cutting tails. I have cut the tail of every monster in the game at least once with each of those (except maybe LS since I don't use it a whole lot). But when I use those weapons, I never have any trouble cutting tails. Use whichever you prefer.
