MH3G speculations thread

First topic message reminder :

This is a thread made so everyone can share what you think and speculate about the game.
Which monsters will be added?
Will there be new monsters?
New abilities?

The folks at Capcom had their hands full coding a new monster, new locations, and new weapons. And don't forget that this is also kind of the last hurrah for the third gen of the series, so they gotta cram everything they can in here. With MH4 on the way, they want to create the definitive third gen package.

While I question whether or not this is actually a good idea, after the addition of Bracchidios, gauntlets could feasibly be a new weapon type in 3G.

I can't say I want this, but I can't say I'd be surprised if they did this.

I can't say I want this, but I can't say I'd be surprised if they did this.

A) The game releases in 4 weeks
B) They already confirmed that the 12 weapon types are those from Unite/P3rd.

^ lets not get things confused here. There are things that are already fact. the 12 weapon typs for the game are already named. Aside from that no new weapons will be added until MH4. Unless I am so amazinly mistaken that everything has changed and they have even decided to release 3G in the west tomorrow..

Actually.. There are really very few things left to speculate on, such as:

Final monster/s:
What that darn videocamera and other buttons not yet stated are for:
Actual amount of people per hunt since more than 4 can be in a city and how many can be in a city:
Monster AI:
And a few other things, but over all we do know quite a bit about the game now.

I'm fairly sure they won't break from the tradition. It's been 4 since MH1 i believe. Also, MH3 had 10 player cities in Japan, but still 4 players max on a hunt. Bigger cities=/=More people on a hunt

This. It's not like Unite added that much new monsters(excluding minions, it added only Ukanlos and Nargacuga) but it was still okay.

Pseudos that almost touched elder dragon

Thinking of Amatsu and the Yamatsukami effect, I thought about it in reverse. What about that instead of fighting him inmediatly once you enter the area, how about to climb the mountain attacking amatsu (somehow like Ceadeus in the ruin). Also, in the 2nd trailer I saw that Ceadeus had its beard complete, means a Yamatsukami effect having us to fight Ceadeus inmediatly as we enter the ruin? or we will fight him the same as tri?

Maybe they just did it to add effect. Why put up a beat up deus in a trailer lol. I like ur idea though.

So, let's see... Ala is pretty much guaranteed. Akantor is very likely at this point, with the event weapon in the game. That also could mean that Ukanlos is tagging along too. personally believe that Amatsu will return. (Supported by this? Which is glorious by the way)

Monsters like Amatsu, Ala, Ukanlos, Akantor (the new engame monster) are never mentioned, people dont know about their existance until you play it.
Same happened with
Fatalis
Yamatsukami/Shen Gaoren/White Fatalis (on dos)
Alatreon
Crimson Fata
Akantor
Ukanlos
Amatsu
But monsters as lao or jhen are known because they aren´t that great as a secret imo. But Ala and Amatsu kind of monsters are always keep as a surprise
