According to the announcement he has additional evolutions to allow him to gain their same elements. Or something like that.
But honestly the thing that I am probably the most, ummmm, confused about is that the new games are made for the DS and not the 3DS.
Now I know they might just be trying to hit a higher audience range but personally I think it is a bit odd and unless they are releasing a Pokemon 3DS game soon too, a bit of a mistake.
I know a lot of people will get the new game regardless but I was really hoping for Streetpass, SpotPass, 3D battles and a lot of other new stuff.

Wow. I did not see those pictures before. Conjoined legendaries look awesome. Now let me fuse Lugia with Ho-Oh. I demand it.
I wonder if that one fan theory was right. The theory goes that Kyurem was the remains of the original dragon that split into Reshiram and Zekrom. So that would mean that Reshiram and Zekrom could fuse with Kyurem but not each other.
The ****. I jumped straight outta my skin when I saw this a little while ago.
But yeah you gaiz, I'm pretty sure it was referenced in the actual games that Rom and Ram weren't complete, and that when the great big dragon of doom split, there was residual energy that formed Kyurem... This shouldn't be a surprise...
Oh and also, it can be played on 3DS with I presume some added features, so 3DS players still get something.
I know they're playing on how incomplete Kyurem looks (imo, he kind of looks more like the shell of a dragon than an actual dragon), but... I'm kinda with Leonhardt in that they seem to be stretching the franchise a little too thin with this one. Though I am kind of curious as to if Kyurem and Zekrom/Reshiram do a fusion dance to end up like that...
I liked the alternate form of Giratina in the previous generation because it worked; I'm afraid I don't really like the concept of Pokemon joining together to create this alternate form... it kinda reminds me of something else, y'know...?
I'll end up getting the games; I'm too much of a Pokemon fan not to, and I like that what they said back when they were asked about Grey was gospel truth. I like that there is a more direct sequel to the series than just a re-release of the original with some new features. It gives you something more to shoot for; a continuation of a story that felt a lot deeper than previous installations of the main series of games. Perhaps it will mark the return of N, or even, maybe we could get access to another Region near Unova...? Perhaps a very long-shot (lack of new Pokemon, for one), but one can hope, right?
Assuming the game takes 10 years after the events of DPPt and that HG/SS were the same time as DPPt (since I guess the frontier had the same brains aka Caitlin)
MAYBE RED WILL SHOW UP IN THIS GAME D:
(lol here's to hoping D:)
22 year old Red would be baws....
Lol anyways on serious notes. If there are added features for the DS game used on 3DS such as added wifi. I'd get it. Only reason why I really didn't get BW is because my NDS cannot connect to the wi-fi signal I have currently.

I don't think you paid attention to the story in B/W. It is mentioned that Reshiram and Zekrom used to be one Pokémon who split up when the two heroes of Unova went separate ways. It's been theorized that Kyurem is the husk that that split left. So it's not just two Pokémon fusing together. It's a Pokémon becoming complete again, or at least partially. This is not some new fad like "Oh some Pokémon can now fuse together lolz".
Wait until you actually know something about the game before you start condemning it.
I'm not really complaining. To be honest, it's better than getting another alternate form. (although origin forme was awesome) I just wish that they had developed this game for 3ds, even if it has some special features for the 3ds.

That'll teach me to just type. That first post of mine is just terrible...
Ahh, so that's what it was; I just mistook the part where the two (or three, as the case may be) were once a single entity. I probably shouldn't have reacted like I did about the fusion; yeah, we probably won't get any fusion forms of other Pokemon, and that its situational with these three because of what they symbolise. It just feels really weird to me... and that's kind of funny when you consider Shellder clamps onto Slowpoke's head or tail to evolve it. Seems like they've been using Pokefusion from the beginning, lol But who knows? Maybe the concept will grow on me, over time.
As for condemning it, my intention was not to give off that vibe. However much I failed at that with that horrible post I made. I actually contradicted my condemning comments though; while I may not entirely like the idea of a fusion of Pokemon, I'm still intrigued as to how them fusing could come about, and what new dangers, adventures, etc. await us in this new addition to the series. One biggie is how it will start.
Probably best to disregard my first post in here. I must have taken something for my stupidity to have been that high. I'll go over there and proceed to hit myself repeatedly with something painful as punishment.
@people who IMMEDIATELY start talking about "how the franchise sucks now"
stfu, I highly doubt you have even played it and you are just making assumptions. Moreover, no one asked about your crappy opinion. We are talking about new games, not whether you like them.
Not neccesararly the 3D but the additional functions. Such as the better online, graphics, the streetpass/spotpass and well overall something fresh and new to the series which I do not see them adding with it being on the old DS and the simple fact that they are putting it on an older systeme when a newer one is already out. So I don't think it's the 3D its self but the other things that the game will be missing out on as well to include additional DLC, Playcoins and a whole lot more stuff.
Though the reasoning for it to be on the older system is that it can be played on both the 3DS and the DS and will get a wider release but the point still stands.
People will buy the game simple due to it being a pokemon game and one the biggest complaints about B/W was that it did feel incomplete. Though B/W was very much a good game in my opinion. I guess this is their way of completeting it. I have no doubt though that they will add additional features if it is played in a 3DS.
graphics? Really? What are they going to do make the main character look like a final fantasy hero/heroine? No, pokemon will never go full 3D models. It is meant to be played from birds eye view, and as long as they are still in gen V, they are going to keep it that way.
B/W did not feel incomplete for me.
I am also relieved that i don't have to spend a ton of money on a 3DS just to play the next pokemon game.

I'm not saying it sucks, I'm just saying they should stop while its good BEFORE it sucks like what most money greedy corporations do...kill their franchise....because money > quality apparently

has nintendo ever done that? (Not including mario...)
Game freak is a good developing company. They know their limits, to an extent, and always make reasonable installments in the pokemon franchise. They have had missteps but always fix issues rather than ignore them. I believe that they will continue to work hard to make pokémon better, not just adopt a defeatist attitude that is like "lets just give up while we are doing well".
It is one thing to saturate the market with games (as guitar hero did) and thus fail miserably, but Game Freak is not doing that...they are taking time (usually) to make their flagship games really good.
the problem is vort, i dont think game freak can make a 6th (8th including remakes) pokemon game with almost the same formula, they need to vary it up.
even mario has has fresh and new experiances compaired to Pokemon. Pokemon B/W is probably the most different ones in the main series since it started. But again, it's on an old system.
Should they remain on an older system for the next games as well? How about they just make B/W2 for the GB? <---- I know that's a bit extream but it's still the same point. That's like making the next Smash Brothers for the Wii and the DS and not the WiiU and 3DS and so on. It the nature of progress and videogames. People may not like it but it is the way things work...
Also, something people have not thought about yet.... You do realize thta B/W2 has not been confirmed outside japan yet? I know it is very likely to get a world wide release and would be really stupid not to but depending on how long it takes before it is released outside japan it may get a VERY limited release and quite possible a GS exclusive release.
Also, is the DS even being prodiced anymore or just the DSi?
And releasing the game on the 3DS would be like...okay we're going to make your previous Black/White games useless because they can't share online experiences with these new 3DS games, so lol, now you are screwed.
I think its a perfectly sensible choice and that yeah, next gen of pokemon, make it on 3DS, but not the current one.
