or you could just make a solo city in some ghost-town server and get the best of both worlds I don't think there will be much point of that in MH3U... If it has all the same content both online and off then why take up server space to do the "EXACT SAME THING" alone online that you could do offline? because at some point people will join you and then you'll complain about people joining you online... istead of you just going offline and being alone like you want to be anyways...

Well wouldn't the point be to gain HRP dcj (aDURR XD) and why complain when you could simply ignore them, put a '1 person limit' on your quest, and keep doing what you were doing just because someone just barged into meh city doesn't mean I have to acknowledge them.

lol with certain players online, I don't think the risk of being too dependent on co-operation is a problem XD I pretty much had to solo all of my urgent quests and key quests because other players proved incapable of normal function of playing the game.

And who said the HR system was going to work the same way? ;) If all online and offline quests are able to accesed the same as well as in local multiplayer.... I don't see Tri's HR online system returning or at least not exactly as it was.

| guran misarou, is online and offline the same way he was in 3G in Japan.. The games are not changed over MH3G (As far as the 3ds versions go.)
If any additional content is added (which any is just rumored at this point), it will be in addition to "EVERYTHING" that is open up to both the WiiU and 3DS in offline mode and will "ONLY" be a few additions in the online portion of the game that was not previously found in the MH3G (Japan) version of the game and will be added to bothe the western MH3UWiiU and Japan MH3GHD games keeping the games for all same systems and regions identical.
The only differences in regions will be the same as allways (Reskinned) event quest weapons due to trademark rights.
So in the end MH3U3DS=MH3G. MH3uWiiU=MH3GHD(with possible online additions which are unconfirmed)
If and it's a big IF any online additions are added to the WiiU online version it is possible that the "Sync" program on the 3DS can handle the additional content to convert it for play from the wiiU to 3DS.... But until Capcom or the game is released... We wont know..
Until then its best to think that "ALL VERSIONS OF THE GAME AND ALL CONTENT ASIDE FROM ONLINE ARE THE SAME AND ACCESSABLE TO BOTH SYSTEMS."

| After actually playing with the GamePad and using the touch screen functions on a few games... I kind of like it and think I will probably use it the most... I mean to just be able to touch the items to use them and not scroll through or change screens on the TV.. I think those who get use to and can Use the Game pad well will defenantly have an advantage over those who use the Pro controller alone. | |

How does one come to this conclusion? Why can't it just be "playing with others online" FFS, you still go to Tanjia port when you go online...

Not when capcom has already told us the WiiU/3DS versions are basically the same game just on different consoles.

Not when capcom has already told us the WiiU/3DS versions are basically the same game just on different consoles. Actually Capcom said the Japan and western versions were the same. They have not fully specified the WiiU version would not have any additions yet. But Yuri at US Capcom said something to the fact that the offline and local multiplayer on the 3DS and WiiU "should" be the same. And he did say should. As far as online. Capcom still hasn't revealed everything. But as stated other places there is no reason to believe at this time that anything has been added to online over the offline portion of the game.

Not when capcom has already told us the WiiU/3DS versions are basically the same game just on different consoles. Only difference between both versions is that only the 3DS can download quests. You have to transfer them over to the Wii U via the 3DS app. One has online, the other one has the DLC...other than that, they're exactly the same thing.

MH3U is not one of these. You have to use iether the Game pad or the WiiU Pro Controller. Also, the black pro controller ($49.99) is still compatable with the white system.. I don't think the system will know it's a different color... #2 The WiiU is capable of recieving "SpotPass" content. Meaning all EVENT QUESTS are available to both the 3DS and WiiU players. This has already been anounced some time ago.

This also means the 3rd party controller will not be compatable with MH3U as it is esentually just a beefed up Classic controller/Wiimote combined and not an actual Pro Controller as has been recently discovered.

You can use either the Wii Classic Controller or the Classic Controller Pro. The only onption you don't have is to play MH3U with wiimote+nunchuck. The only thing I've been able to get out of spotpass is guild cards. No DLC whatsoever.

| SpotPAss and Streetpass are two different things.
Street pass exchanges guild cards on the 3DS as you pass people PsotPass downloads information from Nintendo while the system is in sleep mode.. this includes eventquest for MH3U on the WiiU as well.
EDIT:
Ok just double checked.... The Clasic controller IS compatable with MH3U, in fact it's a pre-order bonus from capcom.
