That's right, thanks to auto guard you can now kill gold rathian/silver los in the dual quest. This is super dumb and I would much rather just beat em up then sit there and watch the screen for 40 minutes, plus dat helm..............

We are all aware that you were being sarcastic. However, our desire for meaningful conversation on this topic that we love kind of supersedes your desire to be funny :P

I gotta be honest, here. I'm excited for this game. I wanna play it, I wanna talk to other people about it, I wanna learn about it. There isn't a whole lot of that going on because the game is so far off. The kind of weightless conversation we've been playing out lately... is to be expected, but leaves much to be desired.

So yeah. Don't take it personally, because it's not a personal thing. I just think this whole thread and so many of the posts lately have been kinda pointless, and that makes me sad, because I know there's a lot we could be talking about. But hey, when you're not playing the game for real, the hypothetical discussions... look like this.

Somehow I've never seen negativity on the forum yet... weird.

Anyway, I don't understand the negativity, since it won't affect Online Hunts due to, well... I just don't see people getting interested in a slow tactic. Unless the Quest Fee skyrocketed and people are afraid to faint... Supply inflation, man.

Unless hunters online are as bad as people say, which in my experiences is rare, I don't see reason to worry. Plus, it is interesting that people found this, and it's called "Cheese Kill" for a reason I assume.

Hmm... I wonder if the lagi exploit becomes common...

*Enter City(or whatever it's called, now)*

Guy 1: "We're fighting Rare Lagi. Wanna join?"

You: "sure."

Guy 2: *readies with bow*

Guy 3: *readies with bowgun*

All: *depart*



*quest begins*

Guy 1: *starts pinging at specific spot*

Guy 2 and guy 3: *head toward spot*

You: ...

Guy 1, 2, and 3: "Hurry up and get here"




I've seen this done for Ala a few times, so more than likely you will run into cities doing this.

First off you are forgetting that the are size for where the exploit takes place is not big enough for multiple hunters. One hunter YES, more than one no.. any others would be left open and get hit by laggis attacks.

People seem to be misunderstanding some of these "exploits". Let me first explaine, they work but for most part ONLY IN SINGLE PLAYER MODE!!!

Beyond single player in multiplayer or well even online it would not work the same... Also, you have to realize that the "exploit" was done on the 3DS (3G spacifically).. Now it's doubtful the 3DS western version was changed any over this one but the WiiU version though unlikely any different due to the scale and a few minor tweeks the exploit may not work the same. But again... It would only be for single player mode not multi...

So most of the concern over it being game breaking or over used online is pretty much a mote point since it can't be used the way a lot of people presumme it can be..

And as mentioned before most of these can't even be use until you are a higher rank and don't even need them...

Looking at the video, I see plenty of space for at least two people. Three people will be stretching it and four would be too much.

I don't know any video of more players doing this, so there's no proof that more than one person can do this in the quest, so you're mostly right and I'm just hypothesizing.

Tell me about it. Most people would be far adept in MH3U to even bother with this, but there's always those hitchhikers, needing to do things "the easy way" in order to beat the game...

I guess the use of this exploit will depend on the community.

Forgive me if I'm not seeing the picture. I'm usually in my own little world.

???? There's nothing to forgive.... I am sure you will get people trying to do.. just about every sort of easy tactic they can for one reason or another, otherwise there would not be hackers who use 1 hit kills and other methods to not have to play the game.


But we will see how everything goes come March.

In MH3, I was able to use a tactic similar to the Los/Ian battle to solo the Lagiacrus Rathalos event.

I got it to work once. Thankfully that "once" was the first time I tried it.

I hope this stops you all complaining about this now.

I highly doubt people will do this online. you can win any double arena quest with a lance and a few mega dash juices on MH3, yet, I have never seen a city with people doing this.

I rarely make assumptions, but ICEMANnoob posted vids with ICEMAN as the character giving the demo. I'd say it's likely that maybe he is the narrator as well.

Definitely! I'm still on Tri quite a bit as J Dubs, if you're ever on there.

It reminds me of when i played freedom 1 back then, there was a glitch for the garuga. Just get a special mushroom or something, wait 20 mins for the quest to be over, you somehow succeed, and the next time you start the quest, it will have like 1/4 its health. Although you didn't have to watch constantly.
