How great will MiiVerse be with MH3U?

Seriously, I think its a pain looking for players in Tri, logging in and out of city gates/servers, looking for hunters willing to help or just play along. Or even just waiting for City Hall replies on the forum, Its great when I plan ahead a couple of days, but with MiiVerse it'll be right there

With MiiVerse you'll be able to see when people are playing MH3U, if any of your friends are or not, and send messages. Heck it'll have its own miniforum on the Wii U, so you can set up City Hall request straight from your system

I am so excited for this feature. Only problem: I need friends, lol.

Go here, with the WiiU's online features and actual usable web browser the forum is actually quite efficient on the console. Check it out if you haven't.

Going to Miiverse and see the MH3GHD part with all the happy japanese messages about people playing the game makes me jealous

I bet some of them are already at G rank

They've had 3G on the 3DS, so I'll bet some of those lucky players were at G by the time they got their Wii U

Heck I've seen Youtube vids of ppl playing at G rank, and some very confused commenters

ummmm.... 3G was out over a Year before 3GHD came out.. and since they too had the option to download the program to the 3DS and transfer thier Hunters from the 3DS to the WiiU of Course they would have game data at G rank already....

I'm sure a few chose to start over but I think a lot took the 3DS games they have and transfered that over to play online.

When I get it Im keeping three charas, on on the 3DS, one on the Wii U and One to take back and forth

All save data is transfered.. so you would have to decided which character to play where.. If it gives you the option to make 3 different one.

I assume the Wii U will be like Tri, you have multiple files, each with 3 charas, though with save data being determined by your Nintendo ID thing their might only be one

and I'm guessing the 3DS has only the 3 charas per cartridge (dumb by the way KH3D only has two saves yet theres three people in my fam that want to play it, all of which want at least two files) so I'll just have to make sure I pay attention when moving to 3DS

Let me explain...

Each person on the WiiU will have their own set of save files associated with their user ID. Yes this is true. So everyone will have their own game saves and their own free data (on the wiiU).

On MH3U for the 3DS you will still need one game per person however. I do not think While you have the data transfered to the WiiU you can continue playing the same file on the 3DS. So while you have your character transfered to the wiiU your current copy of MH3U may not be usable. (though depending on how the data is saved "game kart or SD card") it could be used in a different 3DS system with different save data while you are playing your character on the WiiU or while not playing your game on the 3DS... Though based on other Capcom games I do not think this is the case.

With the WiiU Yes each person will have their own save files but with the 3DS everyone will need a copy of the game. So for you to play local multiplayer from wiiu to 3ds.. you may need a 2 copies of MH3U for the 3DS... Though this may not be the case... It's just speculation. I have not been able to find any full information yet on this as not too many people have really talked about it. in English or Japanease...

Me and my bro plan on getting our own copy for 3DS (just incase we can;t get a Wii U at the time) anyways, I get the Wii U saves

If the 3DS is SD specific thatll be nice, just because its bullcrap not being able to share games (I know companies are trying to crack down on second hand sales and stuff) but seriously, we live in the same house, we play together all the time its wasteful for us to have to pay an extra 40 bucks for a few extra save games

^ That's why I like the way the Nintendo ID's on the wiiU work. Everyone can have their own save games and files.

The 3ds though.. that's a bit more difficult to share i guess..

The ID sounds like how XBox 360 does it, all the files are on the same system, its just the accounts can only access theirs, which to us Wii only owners is a bit different

I get not wanting games sold second hand, but when we buy a physical cartridge I hate being locked into a set number of saves, even Pokemon, I get the fact that your supposed to trade and a multi file might complicate that but get with the times.

When you buy discs your not locked into a set number of saves, just cause a cartridge (the superior format imh) can handle its own saves doesn't mean we should be limited to such a low number

^ Don't be so sure about that. There are a few companies that have done that with games disks. it is possible.

Lets stay on the topic you started with MH3U and the MiiVerse. I do find it a good one.

I have been visiting the Japan MH3Ghd section a bit and like how it's been being used, I do find it a bit odd that there had been no in game screen shots posted at all yet. This does lead me to wonder if it's even possible.

Yes I know most are playing online but... for not a single player to even post one ingame screen shot? That's a bit odd.

I'll have to check a few other communities, Hulu netflix and such to see if there are some that you can't do it on. If there are some that can't do it those would be the ones.

The screenshot thing sounds odd for Monster Hunter, its not like there's huge story spoilers you could reveal, plus how are you supposed to brag if you do something amazing like cut a tail with a Hunting Horn or a Throwing Knife?

Although if it is possible maybe its difficult to do in the middle of a fight

Wait, you need to press the Home button while playing to screenshot right? I know online in Tri you can't press home, maybe its the same case. It wouldn't really be a limitation from the software, just a in general because of the online nature

No, you can't do it while online.. Even in MH3U I would not think you can.. But I would still think at least some play offline.

And to have no one at all play offline and do screenshots?... Hmmm, not so sure about that.

Yeah, maybe they just don't care? They have it, their playing, I doubt they realize theirs ppl just sitting here drooling in anticipation. And thats not their fault, its not like I'd be taking too many screenshot the first month or so while playing

Agreed, I even let my beer go warm during a hunt. I HATE lukewarm beer...

Also, not all games/apps can have screen shots taken.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offline on MH3U but there is a possibility you can't. People are taking the time to do some nice drawings though.
