I don't have the Willuminator with this character yet. So I was crouch firing pierce shots along with my brothers. After about 20 Abyssal Lagiacrus or so, one of my brothers switched to his Willuminator set and started using Dragon S. My other brother doesn't have a Willuminator either, so he used pierce like me as well.

Our runs averaged about 3-5 minutes. It rarely went over 5 minutes. Either it was dead, or we had fainted 3 times already.

Then I saw the image.

I've seen this a few times playing. It's a shame that people have to cheat skills in. Mixing armor is my favorite thing to do and this cheapens that. Although I have no intention of doing it I'm really curious how it works.

Seems like the same discussions happen here every year, just with different people. Cheating in itself is not a bad thing, Monster Hunter isn't an e-sport, nor can it ever be considered one. Therefore there's nothing at stake other than having fun; which is different from person to person. If one guy finds it more fun to have all the skills or go around OHKOing monsters then that's fine.

The problem starts when they force it on other people by going online and not telling anyone they've hacked in a bunch of different shit.

- and pretend being legit hr999
- and pretend to be skilled hunter when in reality just anti knockback cheats
- and brag with killing times

Go have fun with doing whatever is out of boundries just don't except anyone to take a cheater for serious.

To be honest, I would understand if somebody cheated to get charms from other tables, just because of how broken the system is, but other than that, no, it takes away from the whole point of the game, imo.

Maybe this is just my bad luck but it seems like today almost every room I've entered goes like this: Enter, say Hi do nothing at all but stand around in the Tavern. I just decided to turn off my Wii U for awhile.

Well that and I'm starting to long for MH4U.

Leeches are really goddam obvious. Don't people see them and boot them? Why are they G Rank?

I'd like to post "Deviljho in the Buff" with a generic kelbi bow-er in the room and watch them either:
1) Complain
2) Leave
3) Go on the quest and hilariously spam lvl 1 charges anyway.



My friend asked if he could see what MH was like. I wanted to show him one of the more exciting fights, so I searched for a jhen city. I found one, and I was reminded why I stopped hunting with randoms. I have a feeling these quotes were on their minds:
"Willuminator can pack Dragon S! I am SO using this!" *only packs 3 dragon s*
"Pellet works on jhen, right?"
"Bonus Shot works great for my bow set!"
"Range doesn't matter on a gun."
"Ballista Binder? Nah. Garbage."
"Both braces are broken! Time to attack the braces some more!"
"Ship and safe both start with an 's', I should be safe as long as I stand on the ship."

Please correct me if I am wrong, but by "brace" you mean the Back Fin? Even after broken, inside the fin is his second weakest spot (number one being his mouth...).

But again, correct me if I am wrong. with lower sharpness weapons, I bounce of other parts of his back fin, but not the inside of it... I also get to slightly delayed animation, which signifies weakness.

Aside from this, yeah, I have been playing with some leeches lately as well. Meh, I am enjoying myself, so I don't care if they want to stand around and watch.

Meta and I were hunting with a leecher yesterday. Of course Meta booted him, so we only had to deal with it for one quest.

These people with high lvl weapons either continue to hit the Braces, or run to the ship to fire Ballista.

I swear if Killing Jhen alone was difficult, I'd find this to be absolutely aggravating.

I actually attack the braces even after they broke just because it's harder to get hit by the Jhen there.

Some of us are always using ranged weapons when we fight Jhen Mohrans (And subspecies). I actually don't attack the brace much at all. I'm always aiming around the headish/neckish area which seems to work well.

I was doing the quest where you fight both baris in the arena with Law and a friend of his. But, dayum, those fuckin nados show up behind you at the worst times...

It's more common to fall off the braces or get hurt when it violently moves its head. The best place to attack Jhen is the holes on its back. Jhen's mouth is the weakest part but you rarely get a chance to attack that part. You can't get hit if you hide inside the holes. Plus, the holes are close to the ship so once it starts the queue to get off Jhen, you have enough time to get off.
