| Mine went horrid. I was using Barbarian Sharq and it took me 36 minutes to kill him. I used up all my potions and died twice, but I broke all his parts and cut his tail and got myself a gem I started using Plesioth DS and managed to get 15 minute kills. | |

| My first Brachy was fun. I never watched a lot of videos on him prior to release so that my first hunt would be completley blind. At first I didn't know you could roll out of the slime, until it exploded on me and a viewer mentioned that you can roll and use deoderant for oh shit moments. I used the Plesioth GS, ended up failing the mission around 25 minutes. i got owned from the explosions, I'm guessing because i was wearing low rank Lagia armor. i did manage to get a gem from a tail carve before the hunt failed.
i went back on the 3DS later that night to fight him and killed him in 20 minutes with a gem i got from a shiny. after that i farmed high rank los armor and farmed his full set and got the GS, and LS.

| I did a blind run as well and tried to compare him to other brute wyverns, he is kinda like barrot but just on the looks.
I double carted cause the explosions but managed to brake everything, of course my luck isn't as good as yours and I got no gems. I finished the quest around 20min and I used ice LS just cause it had more Raw than barbrian

| My first run was very similiar to ya'lls. 2 carts, 25 minute clear. The one after that was even worse. I got greedy and didn't capture when weak like I usually do. Instead, I tried to break the last arm and ended up failing the mission. That was when I decided to stop using the lance on him. Weapons that allow you to roll while unsheathed make it seem a lot easier. | |

| Yet to face Yoshi but I really am interested in how he is. Seems Like for most so far the first time out is a true practice run unlike a lot of the other new monsters...
I am actually looking forward to that.

I am actually looking forward to that. Same here, I'm also quite interested in his weapons. I want to see if they're as OP as they're hyped up to be.

| I distinctly remembering that I used incaedeus and I broke everything and got him limping in sub 20.... But I carted twice and ran out of pots so I was ingeniously hitting him a few when he slept and then running away counting to 60 for him to go to sleep and rinse repeat. It wasn't fun | |

| Took me about 35min to cap it, but I was using gunlance since it was my best water weapon, and it was rather ill suited for the job. Only carted once with a few close calls after, but I did use mega demondrug/armorskin since I knew it was going to be rough. Was down to 2 mega potions at the end, but same story of breaking everything except I got no gem. Didn't go in completely blind though, have to admit, a year or more is a long time to avoid watching hunting vids with him in it. | |

| 30~ minute capture. It was nothing insane, but I didn't feel like getting ballsy since I don't know enough about it's pattern to bumrush. I used a Fang Hammer (Jhen Mohran) and HR Jaggi armor. Most of the fight was just feeling out Dios's gimmick. | |

| 20 minute capture with the Plesioth Head, gave me my first cart in the game. He hits hard, but he was pretty easy to evade for the most part; Only had to heal 5 or so times. Most of the trouble came from finding a safe time to get hits in on his head. | |

| It was a tough fight, but I only carted once. I can take comfort in the fact that if I refine my dodging a bit more, most of his punches won't touch me. | |

When you take farming for gear upgrades out of the picture he really isn't that far into the game... Skipping village quests and heading to the port quests, you'll have him unlocked in no time. Don't see what the big deal is :P

| I'm getting the vibe that everyone's first Brachydios was the village one....mine was the GUILD version...I had the stupid idea that I could get his armor, longsword, greatsword, and bow more quickly that way than grinding through the village quests, since Brachydios is unlocked more sooner in the guild quests than village quests; no waiting for the Argosy captain either.
Equipped with the Yukumo Sky set and my Barbarian Blade. Speed Sharpening is always useful no matter the situation, Sneak was somewhat useable ( Shakas kept dying and running towards me mere moments before exploding; friendly suicide bombers...), and Divine Protection was triggering 70% of the time.
Failed twice. Third attempt was successful, but was longer than 45 minutes.
Since I got the Dios Katana, most fights have been going easier, and I nearly got the full Brachy blade set except for the arm piece.
The fact I find somewhat ironic and awkward is that I didn't learn my lesson in the difference between Village and Guild monsters...getting my face kicked (literally) by a Zinogre...

| One of the weird habbits of Brach is that it likes to stand in a part of the map where if you get near him you port into the next area and lick it's paws repeatedly until you bait it out. What I think is the most frustrating thing about the fight though is that Brachydios has the same behaviors as most other Brute Wyverns in that it rages often and exhausts often- which I've considered a bit of a flavor hallmark of the class, but it's made pretty awkward by those rages including explosive punches. | |

Don't see what the big deal is :P I think it is because I am in the UK (I am hoping you guys are american, because that would make me still being at the plesioth in village and HR2 in guild slightly less shameful for me)

| When i first face him with Plesioth GS i failed quest because of it's speed and those jumps he does when he's enraged. Than do it again and finish in 30 minutes but break and cut everything in the process. Now i can kill it in 20-25 min but the fight is still very intense. I need to be on my toes all the time. I farm it for few weapons. So far got hammer and GS, now aiming for lance, HH and gunlance. | |

| My first was the Guild one, went with a team to do my urgent, they said I'd be fine... LR Lagi armour got carted and another guy carted and then another and we all failed. I didn't face Brachy again until I had made myself some upgraded Crimson Peco armour, and that run went far smoother. | |

| 1st Brachydios was awesome and annoying.
I was using the plesioth DS and charged after the beast, expecting a simple, quick fight... I was wrong, luckily. :D
just like all brute wyverns(minus duramboros), Brachy trips when normal or fatigue, but not when enraged.
His side stepping move always got me. Brachy kept side stepping and throwin sucker punches at my face. :/
Rolling out of slime status is as easy as rolling out of fire blight, so most of the time, it wasn't an issue.
I don't like how he can still slime you even when he doesn't have any slime on his arms. He won't place slime bombs on the ground, but his punches still slime me... After exhausting all of my mega potions, and after 15-20 minutes or so, he limps over to another area. I catch up to him and do a draw attack and kill him.... Brachy refused to show signs of weakness until he was an inch away from death lol
But I wanted to catch him. D: (he was fatigue at the time, so I thought I'd trip him to lay a trap... Should've waited XD)
Judging by the posts here... Brachy must be much harder in the port/tavern.
