| I can't believe this hasn't been posted already.
so yeah, this is a thread to either show off your "masters" skills or to ask question about them.
I got a question, when can you know when the pitfall trap is ready to set another one?

| I think trial and error would be best in this case. I've only used it once so I am not entirely sure I tend to keep them at their basic masks it seems they are most effective when using those masks. My best guess is probably between 2-3 minutes. | |

| It's actually a lot longer than that. The pitfall trap takes about 15 - 17 minutes to recharge, and gains faster recovery for each level the mask obtains. | |

| ^I gave Cha-cha Slime Attack, Hunter, and Enrage with the Mystery Pot mask and Kayamba Blood Brother, Slime Attack and Seven Lives. The strategy is that Cha-cha will do a lot of damage at first, then die (hopefully) and then Kayamba gets a permanent buff while getting stronger each time he dies. And the slimes stack. | |

| CHA cHA @ ultimate mask Speedy recovery Flash Earplugs
With ultimate mask chacha is nearly untouchable outside of his rage mode. Earplugs is so he can help teammates who are stunned by roars while speedy recovery means chacha goes back to dancing/hearing duty posthaste.

| I've found that it's best to differentiate the shakalakas as much as possiblle (as in, give them each separate masks to master.) I've been using Kayamba as my primary companion in Tanzia so I've leveled up his mastery over the Pincer Mask, Lamp Mask, Nullberry Mask, Stink Mask, Pitfall Mask and Mystery Pot Mask. While I've made Cha Cha learn the Acorn Mask, Grill Mask, Fluffy Mask, Ancient Mask and Whetstone Mask. Since you only get one at a time in Tanzia I've mostly grromed Kayamba to by my Swiss Army Knife and Cha Cha to be useful for the Fluffy Mask and Ancient Mask for quests that demand psychoserum or air philters. Cha Cha gets most of his work in offline mode for the Grill Mask and gathering. | |

there is something seriously wrong if you need to rely on shakalakas for air/sharpening/cooking. Just saying.

Just saying. Huh? It's just convenience things- they are there and so they're fun for the novelty. "Need" no. Fun utility? Sure. I needed for Cha Cha to do something convenient as opposed to my training Kayamba with the better hunting masks.

Just saying. I would say there is something seriously right. :D no need for those three item slots, great for gathering.... and having them do the dirty work is nice. :P

| I'm currently building them both to be support companions with the Fluffy mask and Nullberry mask and stuff like earplugs, defense boost, and guard boost. Gonna switch the Fluffy mask for something else later on, since having only one ability isn't cool. | |

the BBQ mask let's you use the mask as a double split BBQ and it doesn't take a spot on your inventory. to give items to the mystery pot, you open your pouch and click on the item you want to give, the option of "give" should be there

The double BBQ is much better, if you press the running button the hunter will put two meat and so on, and so on. you can get 10 well-done steaks really fast

to give items to the mystery pot, you open your pouch and click on the item you want to give, the option of "give" should be there you can also give meat to the grill mask wearer, and they will cook it for you. handy for getting more meat than you can carry.

Just curious about his age,he acts like a child. well, he says he is on his "coming of age" journey. so I would assume a kid. also, many characters call him a kid or a "little tyke." so younger makes more sense, especially with how he acts.

Just curious about his age,he acts like a child. Cha-cha is a kid coming to adulthood of shakalakas the different masks makes cha-cha and kayamba change personalities: Ancient mask makes him act like an old man, pitfall makes them act like a sargent, grill they act like they just want steak and so on.

| Has for me i have this set up: For gathering kambaya with fluffy mask with gathering and chacha with mistery mask so i can give him junk and get good stuff (wethsones = demondrugs lolz), also with gathering and defence boost.
For atacking kayamba with pincer and rage and chacha with the false felyne mask.
Now comes my questions: 1. Wath is the fastest way to level them up? like an especific quest or something or just play with them?. 2. How fast can you get the chu chu tickets and how do you know you can get one? becouse i just got 2 by random going to the Marine in tanzania.

| they will level up naturally, but it is sped up by feeding them meat. so rations, well done steaks, pink liver. i think burnt steak will work too. there is also an argosy captain trade, ethnic wyvernmeat which afaik is the best meat for the shakalakas. | |
