| Carry us through? But there's not much left outside of G rank in this game. So it's more like question about endgame sets for daily hunts. Well soloing G rank is kinda painful to me, because of very low % drops of certain parts. As for now i'm using this on G rank: - Spoiler:
Works good on hammers and swax'es. Good that i was able to get this Fastcharge+5 dragon tali early in the game. I'd like to make GS set with blos x head, torso + helios Z hands, waist and Helios X feet. But those damn blos hardhorns are impossible to get, not to mention takin down one G rank blos takes me 30 min or more... and i need 2 of them >__<

| I'm using a full Helios Z set gemmed for: Sharpness +1 HG Earplugs Evasion +1 Water +1
It's a pretty nice set for my Ceeded SA with the Water+1.
I am going to research my hammer set soon to get KO etc...

Not too shabby. I find this g-rank comparable to tri's high rank. but as in tri, its like hittin a wall. I hit g-rank and its soo slow to grind up that i just find myself upgradin weaps/armor until they require g-rank parts. I get maybe 1 g-rank quest done a day, if im lucky and if at all. Would probably help if i had a wiiU and other people to play with....hrrm ill have to look at prices...which leads me to my next question, anybody got a link to a guide/thread for 3ds-->wiiU transferrance of data?

| G rank on MH3 was designed for solo in mind, ( DS players )
So G rank is a piece of piss in comparison, try playing FU if you haven't already.
Any gear will do, soon as you hit 500-600 defence they hit you as hard as they did back in Low Rank.
So then it is just a grinding missions to HR 70 for Abys Lag, personally, LR missions net you like 400 HR and Grank? 800-900, so i just help noobs, and when I fancy it, I'll make more weapons, having every g ranked dual blade means i gotta focus elsewhere. So I made hunting horns!
I'm using G.ceadus armour untill hallowed.

I'm using G.ceadus armour untill hallowed. Played FU and didnt have as much trouble. I'm better off now that im out of my HR zin armor with all of like 200 def. And yes, grank is now cakewalk in my helios armor. But the wall is still there, you may just not have hit it as hard playing on a wiiu, because, like i mentioned, you had other hunters. /e- just found my armor to carry me through. as of now its looking like this... demoliton cutter- earplug jewel 1 helios z helm- x3 bombardier jewels helios x chest- destroyer jewel 1 helios x arms- x2 bombardier jewels helios x coil- helios x greaves- destroyer jewel 1 +5 handicraft +3 fire attak tali (unfortunately no slots) ultimately the skills come out to: sharpness+1 hg plugs part breaker bombardier although even w/o the a free talisman spot, there are still 7 slots, 3 of which are in the helm. This armor also gives +8 to free element on its own, therefore just drop a free element 2 jewel in the helm for awaken. Just figured id post this, idk if anybody else has already discovered this and im just an idiot for not finding it sooner, but i think its a pretty decent set, and versatile.

o___O Because the Wii game is a port, and Capcom didn't care to give that transparency to it's Western audience. I agree with your sentiment (which is why I play it on the 3DS), but the game really isn't made for the 4-man goon-swarms people keep putting onto it. But the game is a reasonable challenge when you play it with 1-3 people and 2-1 Shakalaka companions. I just think the 4 person quest idea is kind of terrible considering the mechanics of exhaustion, flinching, KO ontop of Status proc'ing and elemental chip. Most monsters have an exploitable weakness (like low HP, Stamina, resistances to ailments etc.), and there's a real struggle with one or two players trying to pull at these weaknesses that is lost when 4 competent players are just stacking damage upon damage.

Oh yeah, it's a 4 heads are better then one scenario all over. but they didn't make it much if at all any harder when there was 4 people in play, XD

Don't rush to G-Rank :P You should take your time to enjoy high rank and farm up lots of weapons and HR armors to use interchangably with GR pieces or to keep HR bits challenging later on. Part of the problem with breaking into G is that once you down your first Miralis you've bench-pressed the game and may have cheated yourself out of some of the funner bits (where you'll have to grind level appropriate gear to get that same experience you skipped.)

I was g rank by 3 days after I got it... And now I have like 14 end game armor sets, like Lucent Narga, hallowed jhen, glacial agnaktor, that sort of thing. Pretty much the only big one I want now is te abyssal lagi, but I've been putting that off.

| I used every level of Jaggi armor to get me through G rank. Once I beat the Dire Moralis (with Jaggi armor of coarse) I then made the Helios Z armor. I plan on making the Helios X Coil once I can get ONE more sapphire. Once I start another character, I'll make Helios Z with the Helios X coil as soon as I can. I recently realized that as much as I love my sharpness +1 skill, some weapons won't need it. (mainly Alatreon weapons) Which means, I'll need to get a set for my Ala weapons that has good stuff without sharpness +1. | |

| I am about 124 hours in, I guess it was my fault for focusing on singleplayer... well, now I just got my nargacuga armor and zephyr (longsword) I guess it would be best to switch to multi but because I only have the 3DS version I am worried I won't get the same experience I would if I played it with other humans. | |
