big problem with rare drops

i am having a big issue getting rare drops.

I have literally killed over 50 brachys.... not 1 pallium.

Is this normal? I've worked hard in tri to get skypiercers, and deep dragon gems etc.... but nothing like this?

Is pallium that rare?


I'm not complaining - I am just curious. I am having a heck of a time getting my final level slime weapons as you can tell!

Did 70 nargas, got 2 in total,
But on the flip
one brachy = pallium
one steel ura = pallium

2 Hallow jhens = 3 ghostly quartz.


But lagia sapphires? had to do 70 to get 4.
Dark dragon gem? about 10 g ceadus.
Earth dragonsphere. First hallow jhen.

Narga razor+ ? about 20.
Rugged pleura from sand bari? about 5-6 for 2 bits.
G.ceadus fur? About 4 for 2 fur.



It does vary as you can see, and evensome common items took me years to get

I can easily manage to get around 2-5 per fight because of the mining.

Desire censor, plain and simple. When you play MH a lot you eventually get used to it.

Yeah I was just told they're "rare" haha. realizing now I have another 12 after farming a few more.

Many people have problem with Diablos hardhorns. I fought 40 G rank diablos and still don't have even single one of them...

you have no idea what diablos hard horns are.
Diablos = 5% if both horns break
Black diablos = 7% if both horns break
0% from quest rewards.

Moonshard = 4 2% chances from body carve
A dozen or so 1% from reward screen.

So you have a SINGLE 7/5% of getting a hard horn per quest as opposed to a shit load of 1/2% chances of getting a moons hard.

Moonshards are much more common

No, it's 5% from quest rewards on [Advanced] Plain Dangerous. So if you do this quest it's 5% from break and 5% from quest rewards. But for me this quest takes too much time to complete so i just do normal blos. Still don't have even one hardhorn. It's super rare imho.

Either way, we all have crap chance of getting stuff, and some people get them and some don't.

Desire sensor or not, there have been theories that when you look at your next upgrade it knows what you need and therfore makes it harder to get.

My friend got two moonshards in his first narga quest, i didn't believe him and made him take a picture to prove it, and he did. i was stunned.
however I've never had a problem with hardhorns from either diab, i go out, i kill it, i get them.
odd isn't it?

somewhere I read charm tables apparently could have an affect on drop rates aswell.

Sounds more likely to me than "desire sensor". I wonder how deep they really go. Mabye there are some cursed tables with no chance of getting hardhorns or certain gems?

Nah it really is desire sensor xD usually I get things in bulk when I no longer need them x,x and G-rank items are legendary for their extreme rarity

I got my S. Zin Skymerald from carve on my 2nd Stygian yesterday. I needed it badly for GS upgrade.
I still don't have even one blos hardhorn. I killed 40 G ranks. I needed it for armor parts. After like 30 i don't really care too much.

You do realize it is harder to get than a stout horn ever was in tri correct? So if you had trouble in tri all I can wish you is good luck,

I think we make our own desire sensor in our heads.. like, we overact more when we don't get it or get tons of it just after we got one of whatever it was, so in our heads we noted it down as a big/serious event XD

So I posted this at 50kills.... finally got a pallium at 58 kills.

I have hundreds of ebonshells.... sold half of them and I have 900 grand now..
