| So pretty much I'm wondering if 4 / 4U is using the same Charm Table system from 3 Ultimate with various tables? And if so what one is the "best" for both melee and gunners?
Cause I got sheer lucky on 3U getting the good one which was 10 for melee, but I might not be that lucky on 4U and I cannot play if I am not maxing myself out.

| I heard here was charm tables but you weren't permanantly bound to them it was per game load. Don't quote me on this I might be completely wrong. | |

| No.. The tables are different in MH4 and 4U should be different over that. how much so and in what way I don't recall.
And since you have the excavaation equipment as well... Also the hacking in 4 is a lot more monitored and disabled over what you could do in 3u, so the information is lessened, which imo is a good thing. | |

| ahh.. too bad will, so far 4 hasn't really had any hackers, I exspect 4U to be the same.
Really though.. why not just play a game the way it's intended to be played. if you can't do that.. go find something that's a better match for you. Isn't that why there are many different kinds of games out there.. and heck if you can't one go make it yourself. .. but
back on topic..
I'm sure once 4U actually makes a world wide release we'll hear more about any table and how they work if they exist. | |

| Just for anyone who doesn't know yet I believe there are 17 charm tables in total and your charm table is random from character to character, meaning your first character could be on charm table 4 and when or if you make a second they could be on charm table 12, however once you make the character the charm table that character is on never changes meaning if you get charm table 3 on your first character you will always be on charm table 3 on that character no exceptions.
Furthermore different charm tables are good for different weapons there are some that are better for long swords, great sword, light bow guns and others that are better for lances, gun lances, duel blades etc.
There are also a few "cursed" charm tables which have significantly less available charms on them something like ~800 as opposed to the 20,000 of every other table I believe the cursed tables are 11, 12, 15, 16 and 17.
There is also a way to find out what charm table you are on in-game using the boats, however it's a bit complicated so I won't go into it here, instead here is a more in depth explanation on charm tables and even a guide to manipulate the game to giving you the charm table of your choosing as well as a way to find out what table you're on.
