Ambassador Program, FREE games and other information

So Nintendo announced thet as of August 12th the Price of the 3DS will drop across the world by $80usd from $249.99 to $169.99.....

To make it up to those who paid full price nintendo will be giving them a special title called "3DS embassador" and will give them credit to download 10 free NES games of their choice from a list and 10 Free GBA games of their choice from a list.... But you have to log into the eshop on the 3DS before August 12th and Download the games Before September 1st... Many of the games will be exclusive to the Embassadors and will not be made available for a public release...

Nes confirmrd games include:

Super Mario Brows 1,2, and 3

The legend of Zelda

GBA games announced are:

Yoshis island

Metroid Prime Fusion

Mario V/S Donkey Kong

Wario ware: Micro Mini game Collection

Nintendo stated that they want to give back to those who have supported them.

Also The Pokedex 3D will remain free and everyone will be able to download Zelda the four swords for free.....

What do you all think about nintendos free games?

well 'stuff' without a place to live would seem kind of redundant lol
makes me picture homeless people running around with psps, 3ds's, a large case of games, etc. for some reason lol

I deal with homeless people... You would be suprised. Some strugle really hard to just stay alive while others... well, you would be suprised at how much needless stuff they have. And don't get me started on parents buying needless stuff instead of being responsible...

Ares, be glad that you don't have everything you want because if you did you may not have everything you need.

Just 6 more day till we can download the NES games... They will be more direct ports of the original but I am excited to see which ones they are.

1st thing I will do:

Play Super Mario brothers and see if it has the back warp and infinate life glitch.

The GBA games should be announced later today.

Wait are those the ONLY ones available? So it's 10 preset titles. You don't get to pick from a selection?

The full 20 games are all ones being given to us.. not selected from. The GBA games are exclusive to Ambassadors and thus you will only get those GBA games.

The NES games are a gift. They are giving you 10 games that they think will appeal to a variety of people.

Though I don't like all 10 games I appreciate getting them. It's not something nintendo needed or had to do.. And I doubt Sony or anyone else would have done so..

You can now veiw and in some areas download your free NES ambassador games.... But there's a special way to download the games and an additional Ambassador certificate. Here is how.

Step:

1. Go to e-shop on 3DS
2. Go to Settings/Other to the far left of selections
3. Go to Account Activity
4. Click on Redownload for the game you want

The ambassador certificate allows you to brag to others and provides additional information on game updates and more free stuff.

This would be helpful if i had a 3ds.

I don't see redownload...It still says coming soon to nintendo e-shop >.>. It's 9/1/11 ~~11:11~~11:13(>.>), NINTENDO. I want muh free games!

means its not out yet, soon its coming! xD

Updated steps (secondary way)

1. Go to e-shop on 3DS

3. My downloaded games (scroll through your downloads to the 11 items)
4. Click on Redownload for the game you want

son. it's december. Where's my free gba games? I only got 4 swords which I don't think was ambassador exclusive.

^your point. You just got video recording and other stuff as well as free kid Ikurus in 3D or will be soon if you are EU and by the way the month is not over yet. According to Nintendo the other 5 gba games are suppose to be announced in the next couple of weeks along with a release date.

I guess I'll look out for the kid icarus. But 5 gba games? Weren't we getting 10? If 4 swords was part of that list, I'm missing 4.

Also, your right. That was me getting impatient. But I haven't heard any news at all about the ambassador program.

The 3ds video sounds hot. I haven't played with it cuz it's dark, but I bet that'll be fun for days. :p

We are getting 10 GBA's but only 5 have been named..
