I bought Monster Hunter and it's more harder than Monster Hunter Tri is there any advice people can give to help me.

Really focus on gathering, no farm is a hell of it's own!
Also I go for SnS or GS for the original usually. Lance might be good.
Started off on MH, never touched Tri! /yes/

I'm hoping since I'm only about 4 months late to reply, you've maybe figured many things
out already, but one of the best things a new character needs in this original game is
a weapon with green sharpness...ASAP. Your 'hunting life' will be so much easier.
