PostDream Radar Pokemon b/w2

http://www.examiner.com/article/pok-mon-dream-radar-and-pok-dex-3d-pro-priced-for-nintendo-3ds-eshop

So those who have a 3DS may REALLLLLY want to get this app for the 3DS if they are getting Pokemon Black/White2...

By using the Dream Radar you can get Pokemon (a higher chance of rares) with skills that are unavailable in the actual b/w2 games. You can also get special items that are not in either games as well. Basically what this does is give those who have a 3DS and get the Dream Radar an advantage over those who don't.

So having a 3DS and a copy of the games is starting to looks pretty good.

Still disappointed in the fact that the Pokedex is being released so much later than the game.

So what do you all think about this incentive in getting the dream radar and playing b/w2 on the 3DS?

Oh... And it's only $2.99, that's not bad at all for what you can get.

It showed legendaries being captured in the video preview. Not sure about starters though.

oh, so I can't gen the therian forms for the 20 seconds after the game is released until pokegen is patched woohooooooooooooooooooo

and yes, some people like wasting millions of years getting their pokemon trained legitly, but I find that to be a waste of my time, I want to fight, not 300 hours, then fight.

Gen? I'm not sure I know what this term means as I'm not up to dat on all terms used. Is this the same as cheating and not actually working for the things you get in games/life?

EDIT: ok, someone explained "Gening" to me. So basically if I have this correct Vort, you would rather Cheat/hack than play the actuall game. Then why play the game at all why not just "pretend" you did all that since actually playing the game might as well be (as you stated)
Vortiene wrote:

to you and a waste of time.

So if you don't care about the topic or the game that is being disscused please let those who do talk about it.

I think we are specifically talking about serious wifi battling here? I can sort of understand that training up a team to lvl 100 with a diverse moveset and the correct IV/EV's is kind of annoying. Then again, there's pokemon online for that. Can't see any reason to go and do it on a legit game, should take the joy of "catching them all" away i suppose.

uh yea seeing pokemons practically about CATCHING, TRAINING, AND BATTLING gen'ns just the "i'm to lazy to play this game I wanna be uber NAO" way out of the game. Besides raising up a good team to lv 100's not that hard, especially in B/W ( but win's right it can be annoying )

ON TOPIC: kinda disappointed there arn't more pokemon available thru this feature. But Most of the pokemon I want/love are in there (SPIRITOMB!!!!! :D) so it's worth the $2.99 to me. so glad I already have a 3DS, this gives me an excuse to stop being lazy & go get a points card finally.

26 is a limited amount.. but they may be able to add more later. And the 26 they do offer... seem to be pretty good ones..

not this again.

I am not going to explain how people don't get the idea behind it, and how it is not cheating or hacking. It is ridiculously fair and it is a method to avoid wasting of time for competitive battles. I have played through the story in the game fair and square without using genned pokemon. Where exactly did I say that I prefer to cheat in the game in order to speed through it. The only thing I said is that I don't want to waste endless hours after completing the game producing perfect or near perfect pokemon to fight online with, because with the competitiveness of the online level, you need genned pokemon to have good chances. As well, not everyone has 50 3DSes and 75 DSes to trade every pokemon from every game and get the abilties and moves they need. I'm not wasting my money.

Also, not everyone wants to use pokemon online. There is such thing as local battling.

Quote :

please understand IVs and EVs before pretending to know anything. Too lazy? Are you idiotic? I don't want to waste 40 hours on each pokemon on my team, I have real life to deal with, not just pokemon. I want to battle online with japanese players (who are 90% genned), not grind in tall grass all day or running around aimlessly to hatch 50 eggs until I get the right setup.

Please go online and have fun losing and then see how it is.

I really don't get what people have against genning, because it is fair.
That's all I'm saying. It's not impossible to win online with ungenned pokemon but it makes it more difficult. Red is the only person I know who EV trains properly, because he likes it. I just don't have time for that. I play other games and my time playing pokemon is usually like this: "Hmm, wow I just thought of this crazy combination of pokemon for a triple battle! Lets play pokemon for an hour or two and see if it works!"

If i didn't have pokegen it would take 2 days to get the team together with the right attributes, attacks, and such. I don't have time for that when I am playing skyrim and eve online as well, and working during the day.

oh look, reasoning:

Quote :
, I think most of the stigma comes from younger/not well informed fans that believe people that Pokegen create Pokemon with crazy illegal stats and abilities which is pretty much the minority. There's also the rumor that it deletes your game. It doesn't. A lot of younger folks also have a lot more time to spare with breeding. I'm not saying it's a waste of time or anything to breed, but bah, sometimes I just want to get down and play, try out new things, and just enjoy myself, which Pokegen allows me to do.

I can make an extremely gimmicky set and try it out in a manner of minutes rather than use up 3 hours of my time breeding, EV training, trading for move tutors, for a Pokemon that might not do well in battle. The data is exactly the same, so what's the issue?

The idea of not "loving" your Pokemon is a pretty dumb excuse from the other side. I do enjoy all my Pokemon, no matter where their origins are, and don't make a Pokemon unless I'm really sure I want it. I even give them nicknames and personalities. There's also the people that believe Pokemon are just data, which they are, and to those, loving your Pokemon is really stupid regardless if they are bred or 'gen.

But in the end, it's as heated a debate as politics or religion. There's no convincing either side that their side is wrong. It's up to you to decide what you believe. If you're really that worried about that gray area of legality, use RNG for your Pokemon. (I believe that RNG is just about the same as Genned Pokemon, it's just that it's in game so there's no stigma for some reason. lol)

I bet many people will ignore this huge ass post and continue to assume i am a dirty cheater just because they don't understand the game mechanics properly and reasoning behind genning.

I do get what you mean vort. I myself do pokegen too(well actually sav. im way too used to it) the stats are legit and so are the movesets, I use it a lot myself because I love to try out new stuff on wifi and if I had to train all those pokes it would actually the fun of battling itself away. for me atleast.

Spoiler:

Well Just as long as it's actually part of the game and was what the makers of it intended from the begining or whatever rationalization makes you feel better.... Because I'm sure those who use it think it's completely fair for those who don't..

But regardless why not stay on what the threads about?

It's about pokemon, so a pokemon debate should be some reasonable content for a short portion of the thread, but I intend to shut up now anyhow because I think my point was there.

Look more at the Dream Radar though I do wonder if they have some sort of ability to add additional Pokemon to it latter. As it is it seems a bit too limited. For $2.99.. yea I guess you can't ask for much and it does offer a few really good rares and abilities but... Once you capure the 26 pokemon in it... and possibly not even all of them will most people even use it again?

Lol at how a good portion of this is about genning. Heres my opinion, as long as the other person knows its genned, knock yourself out. Really it takes the fun out of the game for me, if I want to ever do battling with fake pokes I may as well use PO because its just faster.

Anyways, essentially youre paying ~3 dollars for the T forms of the genies, and DW legendarys from the 4th gen games you own. sucks the jhoto legendarys are the only good ones from that group, up to you guys really. Anyone know the us price for the new pokedex thing?
