PostE3 2013- New and exciting...

With just 5 days to go there has already been a lot of news announced, From the Xbox1 and the pay to play Used game feature and XBox TV to the PS4's Power and Shared game Feature with the Vita and Nintendo's Suprise no conference move and Large floor space announcements shared with Best Buys across NA.

There seems to be a lot to be excited for and a lot riding on this years E3 for all 3 big game companies.. For us we are mostly hoping it wont be a let down like last years show was....

Anyways, let's talk about what there is to be excited about! What do you want to hear about and what would you like to know about... On the 11th when E3 begins we can try to keep everything updated about the big announcements and what New games are on the horizion!!!

Agreeing with Alice, battlefield 4 looks amaaazing :O
Might go upgrading my PC to play it (although I was planning on anyways, just an added incentive).

Really good E3 so far IMO.

I would like to remind everyone of the forum rules about being nice and all. That includes showing some respect and restraint.

Another mario game,how swell.
"People complain about call of duty coming out every once a year, but people don't complain about mario coming out every 6 months"-Some persons's youtube comment.
How do you guys feel about mario coming out often?

At least Mario does more than add a few guns and maps.

mm yes keep on hating, your tears are delicious

NSMB1, Wii, 2 and U are essentially the same game with different levels and visuals.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
Super Mario 3D Land and World

Granted I enjoy Mario games but really Call of Duty isn't the only series that doesn't change its core game...

and I have to re-iterate, after a night of BF3 with a friend there were so many "if this was BF4, we could do this" moments.
Soo stoked for it x_x
Andrew.

But really, how many games REALLY revamp themselves upon each subsequent release, yeah CoD does the bare minimum to keep each new game just more than a DLC pack, but hey, like Matt said, Mario and Pokemon are both pretty similar. Granted that's a fairly wide comparison.

All this baseless fps hate...

LOL comparing pokemon iterations to COD iterations is ridiculous, the amount of change in pokemon games compared to the last ones (albeit not special versions like emerald, crystal, yellow, etc.) is clearly a lot.

For mario games, they have quite a bit of iteration outside of this new super mario bros hellhole they are currently in. The mario galaxy series was quite fun.

No Vort it really isn't that ridiculous. The fact of the matter is any game with a very large and very dedicated fan base wont ever change if the developers know what's good for it. If pokemon or COD made major changes to the core gameplay experiences people would flip their shit and chances are a lot of the fan base wouldn't buy that particular installment in the franchise.

i didnt say to change their core gameplay experiences did I?

I simply said that pokemon installments are typically very different from each other in graphics feel and content. The gameplay is similar.

COD on this generation however has had fairly similar graphics, fairly similar feel, and fairly similar content. Saying pokemon barely changed from RSE>Diamond Pearl is kind of ridiculous, because it changed a lot.

COD has changed just as much as pokemon has to be honest.

i knew you would say that :P

and i don't even play cod so I can't argue anything, all i know is i hate shooters and will pretend they suck even if they aren't bad just to stop people from playing them

only ones i really enjoyed at any point were BF games, and possibly halo's online local multiplayer (why dont more games have the ability to play online with friends at your house? It's incredibly annoying how many games don't have local multiplayer that is enjoyable when people come over)

I'm just a fan of battlefield games and ESO games :/ im not a big gamer and I don't have much time for games. I'm not saying the other games weren't good or anything, it's just those are the games I will pre-order. Ares don't tell me to "GTFO" over what interest me >_>

Last time I checked, mystery dungeons do very well for changing practically everything about the core gameplay of pokemon.
Conquest did well enough to evoke a sequel in the works.
Pokemon Rumble keeps a solid line in the race.
hell even rangers had a good run, for being the least popular in the line.

So no wilma, you can change the core gameplay experiences and people will not flip out and not buy the particular instaments. Pokemon at least takes chances of how far it can run and pushes what they can do, and it works pretty. That's a hell of a lot more than can be said about CoD

Those are called spin-offs. The conversation was about changing the core gameplay of the main series.

I'm not even joking though. I was at a a fighting game tournament yesterday, and someone there said some of his friends had broken into Reggie's house during E3.

@Alice: GTFO is a pretty loosely used term these days, don't take it so personally as I was merely pointing out that a LOT of other more interesting (IMO) stuff was discussed. I'm done with that conversation though.

Ugh, with the changes to the forum, quoting is like impossible on mobile devices.

^ seriously,
who the f&%$ing hell decided that this was a better way to post, temporary or not. this stupid format is like the most prehistoric layout that could have possible been chosen when there was already a perfectly fine design already.
