So I finally managed to find myself a LoD PDF guide. Looks like I'll be replaying this awesome game again! xD
Oh man that is old, wiht a story I dont remember so well but the whole button push for the special attack was cool. Plus the combat was CRAZY. Have fun man.
Yeah, this game has one of my favorite battle systems for turned based games. Also, I bought it on the PSN store, so I can play it at home on my big tv and on my psp when Im not home. Just like MH3U xD
Well it was a timing game, you have this circle wiht a flash that goes around it and you have to hit the flash on certian parts of the circle to build your attack. It was acutally pretty innocative 15 years ago when it was created.
Havent plyed that one, from what I just saw, it is the same concept executed differently. So yes, a bar ring that if times right raises the level of your attacks.
For a VERY old game the battle system was pretty fun. Each character has different attacks when you get certain levels, and each move increases in how many moves you need to hit and speed increases.

ya know.. in the US at the time of release LoD sold over 960,000 copies.. and overall recieved great praise.. IN fact many revviewers at the time said it was the series to replace FF as it had such a wide appeal in the west... Saddly Sony dropped any further persuit of the game as even though it was highly played and well recieved in the west, Japan did not like it as much and sold only around 200,000 or so copies. So since it wasn't a success in Japan no sequals or furture games were ever made... Luckily Sony did finally release it on the PSN though 2010 in japan and then 2 years later in North america 2012... After releasing on PSN it was the number one selling classic for 3 months straight and in the top 5 for 5 months. Like many great games hopefully Sony takes the hint and revives the series.
(dcj91x stares down sony and nintendo.. why you drop good game franchises and keep making the same thing over and over that we always see?)
