either the original, majora's mask, or ocarina of time. All were incredibly fun. on a sidenote I had a port that had all 3 of these for my gamecube(when I still had it). That was just amazing. I think I still have my original cartridge too, but my NES broke awhile back

I'm gonna have to be non retro here. Phantom Hourglass was the best game EVER!!!!
Seriously. The wind waker feel that game had plus how well they used the ds, was just amazing mind s(*. Sure, I'd much rather Epona than a sail boat in a vast ocean, but phantom hourglass set the standard for how ds games should be. But nobody followed up.
You had to yell at that guy, blow away candles, the touch screen controls weren't retarded, they did that dawn of sorrow boss defeat thing, and the puzzles were good. even the simple ones because it'd be like "omg no they didn't" with a grin on your face.
The most memorable puzzle was that one where you gotta press the 2 maps together. I was stuck on that for mad long and felt stupid when I solved it. I was doing everything they had me do before, and nothing was working. I tried blowing particles, doing scratch n sniffs, I even drew the symbol on my map in 4 different positions. And navi would just be like "HEY! We can't leave until you get that on your map!" FFFFFUUUUUU. And when I solved it, I had to stop playing for a half hour so I could think about how creative that was and how nothing can compete with it and also how stupid I was that I was only able to solve it after giving up. And it was a one time only solution. They never did it again, so it never got overused.
Phantom Hourglass shows how great a ds can be, but it's like the only game that made use of the ds's hardware. Everything else puts the map on the top screen and lets you use the touch screen, but the controls are so retarded that your forced to use the buttons instead. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed other ds games as well, but none had such a great impact in my life. Now that I think about it, even though I enjoyed Golden Sun to the the fullest, I'm disappointed that it didn't learn a few tricks from Phantom Hourglass.
Hmmmm... It's a close tie between Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time for me... Ocarina will probably win me over when the 3DS version is released, though.
Every always forgets the unassuming sequel...Majora's Mask wins hands down, every time. So dark...Hell, scary sometimes, which OoT never gave. and which I doubt any Zelda ever will. It may have had less dungeons - but it actually had more overall content, and a greater feeling of saving the world due to the level of interaction with the townsfolk. The most OoT gives is the mask sub-quest and the Biggoron Sword trading sequence.
Who doesn't love shining a screaming face at your enemies? Giant Stalchilds? Being a goron/zora (deku link is crap xD)?
A close second is a Link to the Past. I'm a sucker for SNES style graphics xD. Still need to finish the last dungeon though...
Oh, and add to list above 'Having more rupees than you know what to do with and the bank won't let you deposit any more.'
my top 3 are : 1: twilight princess(fighting Ganondorf was epic ) 2:ocarina of time(i like its so far.... fucking ingo>.>) 3:Link's Awakening(childhood game was fun)
Links Awakening dx, OoT, Spirit tracks, Phanton Hourglass, and the 4 Swords will all be playable on the 3DS.
I mention this because part of what kept me from really liking 4 swords or OoT as much as I probably could have was the controls. In the 3DS update of 4 swords you will supposedly have WiFi playability... I could never find anyone to play with before... In OoT you will have a much better inventory system. This could rais them on my Zelda love list quite a bit.. or at least until Skyward Sword comes out... It looks amazing.
But over all I have to say.. I really like all the Zelda games and Zelda is one of the few series I think I have no problem going back and playing again.
either the original, majora's mask, or ocarina of time. All were incredibly fun. on a sidenote I had a port that had all 3 of these for my gamecube(when I still had it). That was just amazing. I think I still have my original cartridge too, but my NES broke awhile back
I HAVE THAT DISK (the one with ocarina, majora's, zelda I, and zelda II)
I heard it like even before they even hinted at a Zelda Wii exclusive. Did no one really look at Wii Fencing and think "Huh. Zelda could pull this off, right?"
i guess is that sword game on wii sports resort...
best game for me is Twilight Princess. I played the 1st one, link to the past, and that one sidescroller that sucked so much and i learned that i dont like 2D zelda games. Ocarina is good and a bit more difficult than TP. I still have to play MM.
I loved A link to the past becuz it was the first video game i ever played, but I would have to say Ocarina of time. The aspect of changing between young and old link and playing songs tht warp you to important places is cool. Twilight princess was ok but the wolf mode was annoying for me. And windwaker is my all time favorite gamecube game.
