Majora's Mask for it's story and complex side-quests. Plus it's one of the more challenging Zelda games out there.
Wind Waker for colorful use of cel-shaded and it's take on free-roaming adventure. I know alot of people hated the whole ocean-wide search for the pieces, but the traveling from island to island was one of my favorite parts of the game.
Never got fully into Twilight Princess. Felt it moved too slowly. Ocarina of Time is good, and was my first Zelda but I don't think it's the best.
Am I the only one that isn't excited for skyward sword?
So far the best for me is Majora's Mask. Though it has the shortest main story of any Zelda game that I've played, the sidequests made the world seem to live much more. OoT is the 2nd best that I've played, with good puzzles and I'm looking forward to when I can play the Master Quest version once I get a 3DS. However, the worst for me is TP. The story is good, but overall, the lack of sidequests, the simple boss battles, and the horrible ending boss, made it too easy to get 100%.
It's the first game I ever won, and the one that took me the longest. (1y, 5m, to be exact. Six of the months were spent in the Water Temple. I hate that place.)
Wind Waker was Good, and a very close second to OoT.
Also, I really enjoyed Spirit Tracks. It had a real instrument, unlike WW, and it required some thought to play, unlike OoT. The final duet was awesome. Heck, this game had the best music in the series.
I easily think majoras mask is the best wig Oot very closely following along with wind waker. Tp was good but tbh I've forgotten a lot of it. The mm music, side quests, masks and the time tilt type system work perfectly. The clock town theme is so Catchy, I even made a piano arrangement of it.

That's a bit sad isnt it?
The only thing about majoras mask is the time limit, but for the most part you have good taste in zelda.
And nice siggy, zel needed a huge burn mark on his ass.
Four swords for the GBA was the first zelda game that made me like the series, because I disliked the others(which I now like)... so it makes this list too ^^!
Arguing about which zelda game is best is like arguing which of the star wars original trilogy was best, it's redundant because they are meant to compliment each other and are not meant to be better than one another. They work together to create many similar awesome experiences.
I enjoyed link's awakening, link to the past, ocarina, majora, and windwaker equally.
Twilight princess sort of let me down a bit...but i still thought it was incredible other than the fact that i found it way too easy.
Dainbramage is da man. Mm had more sidequesys than oot and collecting some if the Masks and heart pieces are near impossible to figure out alone.
Even though I played oot about 3 years before mm I have this undying love for it :/ But the only thing mm lacks is length. And oot had a lot of it I think 8 dungeons? As to mms 4 but mm still clocks up a lot of time.
