In the past you can pretty much sum up each showing of the big 3 pretty much the same each year:

Sony: Flashy and with a lot of music

Microsoft: Lots of robots, cars and other gadgets

Nintendo: Doing there own thing off in the corner

and so far from the announcements 2014's Electronics Entertainment Expo will be no different.

For those who do not really know what E3 is let me explain in simple terms.. E3 is when most gaming and electronics companies from all over the world come together to show off their wares for the coming year. It pretty much makes or breaks them and sets the tone for stock holders and fans. (it's a huge popularity contest)

For us normal folk we get to see new games and find out what will be dropping in price. You often hear me say don't buy any older (or often newer) systems within the months approaching E3 because usually they announce new bundles or pricing ranges which could affect how much or little you spend afterword.

This is also why you see so few games released the few months before E3, a lot of companies wait to show off big name games and have their top titles released until around and after E3 to draw in a bigger crowed and a better show.

Again.. The bigger.. better showing at E3 often means the better the year following it. (popularity contest)

And all 3 companies have a lot at stake for this years E3. Sony and Microsft have just released their new systems the PS4 and XB1, with relatively few games out for either they will want to show off what they have and even more what exclusive and power the systems have to make them even more appealing.

With the XB1 and PS4 mostly having the same games overall it will be the few exclusives and the extras that set them apart bot Micro and Sony along with all their flashy party favors will wany to show off what makes them special.

Sony:

Sony is overall in a good place. Their sales of the PS4 are beating the WiiU and XB1 by quite a wide margin.. The only area they are falling behind in is the Vita. Though they have had a price drop on the Vita's system the biggest complaints for it still remain it's high dedicated memory card prices and relatively few exclusive titles. Though the vita does have a lot to offer many feel the cost over shadows this. Sony introduced the Vita "slim" with 1gb of internal memory which will have multiple colors and will also have more "kid" friendly games but will drop the oled screen (one of the vita's main features) and still have the same high cost memory cards. Many think E3 will have an announcement lowering the price of Sony's Vita memory.

One new game being shown by Sony at E# will be "The Order 1886"



They will also be showing Uncharted for ps4:





Microsoft:

Microsoft still has the most to prove at E3.. even more so than Nintendo. After taking a huge hit from it's original DRM scandal, Always on system, Updating policies and more with the XB1 (even though reversing much of it's original announcements) along with the XB1 launching at lower specs (720p native) than originally announced as well but corrected with updates and even several games being scaled down (such as Titanfall 792p), Micro has a lot to make up for and prove at E3.

First off will be another Halo, Halo 5:



.. that's pretty much it for now.. they'll probably have a robot and a flashy car.


Both sony and micro will have anoth Metal gear for the ps4 and xb1 here's how it will look:





Nintendo

As always Nintendo does not plan to play well with it's younger brothers. Last year it skipped out doing a floor show deciding to do a world wide Nintendo Direct and larger floor show than the others, before that it skipped some shows all together..

This year the big "N" has decided to first release a big game right before E3 (MariKart 8 on the WiiU) than will hoast a video tournament of Super Smash Brothers for their E3 showing along with some more big character reveals. More Game announcements to possiblly include the release date of the new Zelda WiiU game (not hyrule warriors), they also plan on showing more fotage of X from monolith, Bayoneta 2, and will be talking about the 300 indie games in development for the 3DS and WiiU eshop.



As far as the new Zelda WiiU it's suppose to be a combination of Skyward sword meets skyrim...

All of these are just the games already announced and being worked on for this year coming to the WiiU and 3DS. (if not delayed again)




One thing is for sure.. We can look forward to some nice Monster Hunter 10th birthday stuff to be going on from the CAPCOM both!!

Capcom will also be shoeing off a new Street Fighter 4 game as well.

EA will have a new Madden on all systems but WiiU (stating that though they are skipping Madden on the WiiU, EA and Nintendo have a strong relationship and many more games from EA will be coming to Nintendo systems)


Still waiting on Nintendo to announce a new Metroid or F-Zero? Tired of Halo and Uncharted.. Want a Vita but not a $100 64gb memory card..
