Stupid Questions Hotlines (united edition)

First topic message reminder :

Well since people like yelling at me when i post stupid questions in the Tri's SQH about Unite, i decided to make one here...since i figure people are more likly able t o answer anyways.

ok ill start out. how do i get top grade red horns from monobloses? and whats its rate?

is the "length" how long it takes to hunt the monster or how big it is?

If you mean that length you are shown post-quest, it's the length of the monster.

Is there way to download event quests on pc and then move them to psp using usb?
Or how to get event quests and other downloadable things without wifi connection available?

Not that I'm aware of. I'm pretty sure some type of wi-fi is required.

There is, but it requires FINDING the events available for DL somewhere (message board, mediafire, etc.) and then modifying save data. It's much more of a pain than it's worth. Much easier to just find a coffee shop/laundromat/wizard's castle with free wifi and just DL em' real quick.

i never noticed the monsters were any bigger or smaller? or is that what you meant? If it is, then how do you hunt the bigger ones instead of the smaller ones?

Monsters are bigger and smaller. There is no set way to hunt a larger or smaller one. Its all completely variable.

But really, for bows, does rapid S up give a lv 3 rapid shot the same power as a lv 4 rapid shot, or is it just a minor boost?

What Arm bits of armor give the Torso Inc skill. I need Torso inc for a set and can't make the Blackbelt Vambraces X
Also, what's the highest Base defence waist with Torso Inc?

Okay, I'm confused. There is an Ash Lao Shan Nekoht quest only unlocked when all 7* and 8* quests have been completed. I completed every one, yet they won't show up. I think maybe it has something to do with the fact that an 8* Kusha I hunted was still alive, but still. Does anyone know what I should try to gt it unlocked?

Have you cleared all elder dragon quests? since teo/luna/cham can be fought in two different areas and you have to clear the quest in both areas. Other than that your best bet is to hunt shen and aktor first

Right, okay. But Chameleos, Teo, Shen and Akantor don't show up until 9* quests.

o_O the wiki could be wrong but it says that kusha/luna/lao are all unlocked from clearing all single hunting quests in 7-8* =X dont recall lao quest dissapearing try clearing the 8* urgent and seeing what happens

8* urgent was cleared awhile back but only the Kusha and luna quests showed up.

I think you have to actually slay the Kusha.

He's dead. Several times over. And I killed one Luna, so, yeah.

Ok I don't even have Unite yet, but I plan on getting it pretty soon. (with a little luck) I thought in the meantime I might as well learn as much as I can about the game, specifically all the different parts to Tri; which, are pretty numerous. As far as I can tell anyway.

What do the letters mean after the armour name? For example, Tigrex U, what does the U stand for? I think I've seen S and maybe G too.

From what i remember, U armor stands for it has extra slots, and S armor is basically a souped up version with more defense. both are avaliable in high rank. Also, X-Armor skills, i dont think i ever heard about that.

Yep, and X is very rare and basically a set with variant skills. Some skills in fact only exist in X-Armor form, and these are usually very powerful skills.

To say nothing of Z armour...

So I'm farming Garuga for its armour (Best village gear short of Ceaataur, right?). and I've noticed that the greaves require a Monster Bone+. Now I'm only on Village 4 star, and I've yet to start on the guild, so how am I supposed to get this bone?

do the Kutku quests (blue or pink, though i had more succes with pink) hr2. About 50% of time you get Monster Bone + as qreward. Should be some posts about that on other places as well.
