| So the biggest news on weapons is that 12 weapon types will be included and that the bowgun has been give another revamp to include added feature.
First bowgun.
The bowgun will have an expanded customization process but will be limited to just light and heavy guns. The added abilities have yet to be revealed but the games designers have said that it will get a lot more use than in previous games.
Now the weapon types.
Unless they are counting light and heavy bowguns separately there are currently only 11 different weapon types. All weapons have been stated as being in the game so will there be one additional new weapon or are blowguns considered as 2 types? What do you think?

lol Capcom is probably regarding Light and Heavy Bowguns as two separate classes.

| I'm a bit on the fence, but I'm with the light and heavy being classed as different group. It might seem silly to put them into two groups when they're one class now but... with a revamp, they might have kept light similar to what we're used to and made the heavy more like a cannon, and separated the shots between the two of them. That's just my thought on it, I'm probably VERY wrong.
But I'm glad that they're not skimping on the weapon classes. And improvements are (usually) nice~ /yes/

I personally disliked the HH, because you can use a item to replace most of it's effects.

| Umm I think some of you missed it. All current weapon types in the MH series will be in this game except for med. Bowgun. The only question is weather they count as one type or two. | |

| Something that made me think there would be a new type of weapon was the new monster that is shown in some of the scans I've seen. I got the feeling there would be something like a Cestus or single-handed impact weapon, but I can't tell if any of the silhouettes suggest as such, because they're so small. Probably not, and I'm just looking too much into things, lol
I'm glad that the Bow is confirmed though, because I loved using it in MHFU, and would love to use it in a game that (hopefully) has better online capabilities.

I'm really hoping for Biggoron's sword as an event LS and the Master sword as an event SnS.

I'm really hoping for Biggoron's sword as an event LS and the Master sword as an event SnS. That would be topical AND pretty nice ...And the Biggoron sword wouldn't break when it's used /yes/ But I thought that it only had local play for multiplayer? Or did online support get announced?

Alright, that's good to hear. It's my first time looking at a portable game, so I didn't know. I'd like some sort of event bow... don't know what, but a bow would be nice~ /yes/

| Here's something I've been wondering. I saw concept art for like, a Ceadeus bow, and uh...... the string on the bow, is a chain. I know I might be reading into this a bit, but how does that work? | |

| A string on a bow does not stretch, it just bends. The force in a bow comes from the limbs.
Though the limbs on every single Monster Hunter bow are far too thick to use as a realistic design.

It's obvious that teh chains are elastic. - Roik wrote:
