BTW why would you sell all your gunenr equipment but keep the crappy stuff ._. Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to practice my aiming. Funny story about that... I don't actively use bowgun because I suck at FPS and third person shooter (sand using a bow gun feels the same for me) so I only have three Gunner set (Ludroth, Rathian, and the Barioth set). I only sold my Ludroth and Rathian set. Everything else I kept (aside from Light and Medium Bowgun and Royal Launcher frame). On that note, I heard that Water S perform like Pierce Shot (and judging from the animation, I would conclude the same). Is it true and does it hold for all Elemental shot? Or is it just some noobie ramble? Thanks

| Water,Thunder, Freeze act like pierce shots dealing 3 hits, each of them 1/3 of total Element Damage. Only fire S act like Normal shots and deal the full elemental damage with one hit (45% of the bowguns power). Element Attack+1 increases the damage by 1.2; Normal/Pierce Boost won't increase the damage, however | |

| Hi, more newbie questions incoming! :D
1. On my second time facing Lagiacrus, I got super lucky and managed to get Lagiacrus Plate as my quest reward. So I decided to spend it on Lagiacrus armor set for my Gunner. However, it turns out there are no Head and Waist parts... so my question is, what kind of armor would work best with Lagiacrus parts? I was thinking about this Dragonite Ore one, I think it was called Ignot, but I would like to hear your opinion first.
2. I heard that Crag and Clust shots deal set amount of damage, is that true? Is there any point boosting my attack with, say, Demondrug if my ammo consist mostly of these shots then?

Like Lucas said, hunt more Lagiacrus. I kill more than 10 to get a full Blademaster set. 2. Explosives rounds deals Bomb Damage, which ignore the monster's armor (tip: use them on Agnaktor armor mode or Uragaan's chin). I don't know about Attack Boost items, but I know that Felyne Bombardier and the Armor Skill Bombardier (Uragaan Armor or Blast Earing) will boost the damage of Crag and Clust. I don't know about the set-ness of their damage, but it always worth taking a few Might Pill/Seed/Demondrugs when you're using Bowguns because you're not really going to rely on explosives, unless you're clust-gunning. On that note, I think it is the Barrel Bombs that deals set damage, which can also be boost by Bombardier armor skill or Felyne Pyro. Note that I'm a relative beginner at gunning. This is the hypothesis that I formulate during my brief time as a gunner. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You gotta break the head, these parts unlock once you get Lagiacrus Horns, which are obtained by breaking his head.

| Guns I use (Stock/Frame/Barrel): Thundercrus/Thundercrus Rex/Barozooka : 9 Lv1 Pierce shots + 2 if Pierce Lv Up Blizzard Cannon/Rathling Frame+/Devils Grin: Lots of Pierce Lv2 and 3 o,ob
And Armor.. Full Blos+ and hmm I'd say Gobul Leggings+ and Alloy Waist+ Add an Hermit Decoration (Expert+5) to the Leggings and a Expert decoration to the Barrel and you will have Pierce LV1 Up Pierce S boost Cirtical Eye+1 and Elemental attack down( which does not matetr at all) And, you will have 5 slots + tali to customize it. I would recommend Combo Pro for less time combining and more shots o,ob if you have a combo pro+10 tali you could use that and add Critical Eye+2 and if your tali has two slots you could even get Critical eye +3

| There is also a difference in the skill points (for blademasters at least), diablos helm + gives you 5 points in bothtremor res and crit draw as opposed to just 4 and 2 in their respective skills, the diablos mail + has an extra point in tremor res, and although diablos vambraces + have 3 slots the skills drop from 3 tremor res and 5 crit draw to 1 and 2. I think its the same for the gunner version, except switch tremor res with pierce up and crit draw with pierce +.
The above information is only remotely useful if you decide to mix armor pieces.
tl;dr they have different skill points.

It loses the effect once you start attacking monster About the demerit skill 'Taunt'? I played with a random once with that skill and the Barioth practically hugged her all the time.

It's fine to have either of those, but I'd just over forge the peco armor since it does have evasion +1 in it. And it has good enough defense to last up to the urgent.
