Descent 1 and 2 (rebirth project)

That site has the two classic 90s games Descent and Descent 2, up to date and compatible with the newest OS's and tech and screen res support. In the 90s Descent was a true 360 degree 3d action shooter flight game with ultra intense action, 5 difficulty modes, tons of levels and robots to fight, and lots of kickass action, Descent 2 further expanded on the series with tons of new stuff, but needless to say these games kicked ass and I grew up playing this.

Descent is only the single best game most people have never played, and fortunately some very dedicated fans are keeping the series alive.

I'm surprised more people didn't post here, cmon people you don't know what you've been missing.

Truly surprised more people didn't even look here, oh well, peeps are missing out on one of the best retro games ever.

Might try it, since I'm a touhou fan I just gotta have more lasers to dodge. :P

Descent was all kinds of fun back in the day. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'll tell you though, I thought it was one of the most challenging games of that time. Full 360* doesn't even cover it though. Thats game plays in all Axes: X, Y and Z!!

I would encourage anyone new to it to have some dramamine on hand. That game gave me motion sickness several times due to the constant up down, L/R, Fwd/ Back, all over the placeness pwnage.

Extremely fun game. Challenging too.

I never got motion sickness but I did get the fabled Descent Headache as a child playing it cause it makes your brain be forced to think in new ways on movement since you aren't just floor based anymore like most games.

On your last sentence, I totally agree. But for me, it was Perfect Dark, Thief, UnReal Tournament, and System Shock 2 that hold those places. Especially UnReal Tournament! If I had the Flak Cannon, you could Gawrawnteee people were cussing at their pc screens.

Prob so. I never played that 1. My bf moved to Utah in 2002 so I lost access to a way to play. My rents wouldn't let me use their pc, and mine just sucked...for everything!!

I did get into HL2 Multiplayer there for a bit with one of my Uncles-in-Law. He had awesome pc setups (Software Enginner) That game was madass fun, for the lil bit that I played!!

Annnnnd it's that time again folks, UP TO THE TOP. Seriously for all our newer members if you have not heard of this game, in your spare time when you just can't stand to smash a Great Jaggi in the face anymore, give this game a try. You'll be glad you did.
