Using a greatsword isn't all that hard, imo. The two biggest mistakes I see people make are A) they walk around with their greatsword out, and B) they're indoctrinated into thinking using the block is a bad thing, or don't even know they CAN block with a greatsword. (I know dodging is a much better option than blocking, but I see people who refuse to block when they're in a situation where they won't be able to evade in time, all because "it's not as good as evading/it ruins sharpness," or whatever they say.) Also, I never played the earlier Monster Hunters, so I don't have any horror stories about Plesioth. However, I'm sure that they've fixed his hitboxes in this game!

I saw a cousin playing MH on the ps2 against Plesioth one day. That guy needs to be fished out, and he can damage you from unfair distances and imposible situations. And the greatsword block isn't that bad, its better to lose some sharpness than carting

| Plesioth is actually very idiotic if you use a bowgun. *Stands some metres away from the plesioth, shoots it in the face with Thunder shot, walks to the side as it uses water blast, shoots again, walks back to place as it water blasts again, repeat. If it goes in water, sonic bomb or crag shot.* owait, that last step doesn't need to happen on MH3U
as for a goal, showing that plesioth who's boss underwater.

| I think I'm going to do like I did for my last Tri character and only play the offline progression up until the farm is fully upgraded. After I've got a decent stock of must-have items like thunderbugs, potions, honey, bitterbugs, dash extracts, etc., from then on it's going to be mostly online play.
I actually really enjoy starting out online with weak equipment. Helps you build friendships with people as you help each other get better armor, hone your hunting skills... Last time, I think I went online with just a Bnahabra & Bone armor mixture and a Bone Axe.
I really hope we can do 4-man online Ceadeus quests this time! My endgame goal is to have full Ceadeus Z and Ceadeus X.

| - Bust my ass over the winter and save up some money.
- Wait for a Monster Hunter Special Edition 3DS/ 3DS XL, if not then just buy a 3DS XL.
- If I still have a reasonable amount of money left, also buy a Wii U.
- Buy MH3U on first day (on both systems, where applicable!).
- ????
- PROFIT!!!

| After getting it? HUNTING HORN MADAFAKAH! And back to the old BG system. Tri's system requires epic knowledge and surgical precision on combining parts. Otherwise it just sucks.
I'd like to Kick Back in the mouth of every bigjawed monster. Ever tried it on a killed/tranquilized Gobul? Hilarious!

| First Goal: Buy a Wii U and especially both versions of the game.
Second Goal: To get acclimated with the different claw method I'll have to use to control my character.
Third Goal: To build up as impressive a Bow collection as I have in my PSP games.
Fourth Goal: To have fun with people on the online servers and hope there are responsible, polite hackers who won't hack when playing with other people.
