Judging by the end of the video, yes, there is more for us to learn about the multiplayer.

It's no secret. They have said for a while that they have more coming. The 3DS version is the sames in Japan and the west pretty much but the WiiU version has a bit more than the 3DS game. They have alluded to this fact several times (otherwise they would have released the full information for it already as well.)
Who knows, we could see more monsters added to the online gameplay? That would be nice.

Who translated this video? They used the phrase 'Megaton' so I assume it was done by NeoGAF. Someone at NeoGAF works at Capcom or something?

Oh man... don't get my hopes up like that, haha. I'll be happy with just the HD port of the 3DS game with online capability. Anything else is just icing on the cake. I'm going to avoid getting my hopes up. Heck, up until recently, I never thought I'd even get to play another MH game here in America!

I doubt it. If they haven't done already, I'm pretty sure it wont happen, sadly. It'd be a nice surprise though!
Certain kind of event weapons available to only US and EU would be very interesting though. I really liked them in Tri~

XD yuki fair warning thats one of my new catchphrases! "that'a a load of Shakalaka!"
Don't get me wrong, the event weps look pretty cool and there pretty stong in sharpness,. their element once you awaken it and such
but yea unless i'm using my Awaken/+element/focus set theres always better weeps to use. And even then there are better weeps to use with awaken that give me more power & elemenyal
Too bad they were "a load of Shakalaka" compared to all the other weps practically
A couple of them actually weren't half bad. The Bander lance, and the rising soul. They did pretty well and bander lance had nice sharpness :D
The only downside to rising soul is that the lagiacrus LS is better than it by having more element. They are equal in raw though, and the differences between the two are not that big. (rising soul does also have an extra slot for gemming in stuff)
Sure, they can be beaten by other weapons, but they do stand pretty well on their own.
Every other event weapon is garbage though...

Well...since we most likely will not be seeing any English language version of Portable 3rd on the PSP, I'm hoping maybe the Wii U version will add Amatsumagatsuchi as added content to the console version?

It'd be happy they if they added in Amatsu to the western versions of the game just so we can experience him.

Not all the WiiU content has been revealed yet... We know they will not be doing "DLC" but this does not exclude possibility of additional online content added before the game is released. Also the additional program needed on the 3DS to transfer the data back and forth between systems could act as a control point to help manage any additional data (armor/weapons) that the WiiU may have and the 3DS does not....
Now it was stated by capcom's Sven when asked about the differences in the western and japanease versions of the games. ""There are some subtle differences in feature set of Ultimate (like the ability to transfer saves from 3DS to Wii U) from the original Japan release of 3G, but game content should be identical." But that speaks nothing about what is in the WiiU version of the game of course on the 3DS versions...
So until there is something more concreate actually stated or until the WiiU version is actually released there is a chance that (the online content) may see some additions over the offline content which should be identical to the 3DS version as far as whats in it and available.

Well, no not additional monsters and stuff... but quests are indeed downloadable and new quests have already been up for download on Tri G in japan. And I'm not too sure, but I think I've read somewhere that TriGHDver/UltimateHD will contain all downloaded quests... But I haven't seen that after searching for it..
dcj91x wrote:

For Japan... There is. It's a port that shares data between the both of them, so then they'd have to update Tri G to accept this added content, I'm pretty sure..

Nope, I don't think so. The 3DS game would have to be updated to support this content. A western release may support this content, but then that would be cutting out content for players on the handheld... I'm sure they don't wanna buy a Wii U just to get a couple of "online specific" quest items... The Tri Ultimate localized copy may be able to support the extra materials, but leaving that content only to the wii U is pretty stupid in my opinion... It's already one thing when the 3DS game doesn't have online, but to leave content out of a copy is just salt in the wound here.

Yeah, they are pretty much the same.

It actually says quite a bit on what's on the Wii U version.... Like... The content.

I'm pretty sure (even 100% certain) That the only differences between the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game are; Resolution, textures, data transfer features, and online multiplayer with online features.
I will let you have your guess work, since nothing has been officially stated.. I'm just sure that there won't be any more differences than what I listed above.
Please know that I'm not trying to attack you or nothing, I'm just saying what I think about this "Wii U version" talk.

Wait, so local multiplayer on the 3DS allows you to do Low, High, G and 'Advanced G' rank quests right?

Yes Jader it does.
It's meh: as I've stated before what you and I are both doing along with many others is only "speculation". Capcom had really given no information either way on MH3U for the WiiU at this time. So until they do it could still honestly go either way. It could have additional online content and it could not.
I prefer to remain positive.
Also, you are correct. They did state that the WiiU MH3U version will have acces to all the content/event quests available on the 3DS version. I'll try to find the article for you as well.
Also here are the quotetes about "DLC"
Yuri Capcom USA staff "I personally don't think MH3U is the kind of title that would benefit from DLC as much as other titles. That said, we haven't announced whether or not we'll have DLC for MH3U. I'll ask around to see what I can find out."
And I think what Yuri (and I) ment by DLC was anything additional and not already intended to be in the game. Not the event quests and so on.
