^ I think you missed the point Oto.. It has nothing to do with buying or not buying the 2ds.. (I personally could care less about it) what the issue is, is that the 2ds means no eclusive systems or additional color choices like those offered in japan. Baiscally, having the 2ds means those of us in the west (if you plan on getting a 3ds) will be restricted on the amount of colors and limited editions available. (hence the reason for the links about nintendo talking about 3ds colors and special editions... NOt about the 2ds)

Example:
This means they don't bring us the MH special editions stating there is no space for more systems but then release the 2DS which is a contradiction to their reasoning for no special editions such as the MH ones Japan got.

...so with that in mind. Not many westerners really focus on what the hell their console colors is so much that they throw hiss-fits and refuse to buy them. And sue, you can throw in the "but people like colors, and limited editions are just so... limited!!!" shit.

is what determines whether a console/handheld (let alone a younger user-friendly aimed product) popularity/success,
all because José got his favorite games, but a black DS and not an Ultraman-red one.
Or Shwanda's new system doesn't have a Pikaraichu on the back.
(especially when you can deco out any system to however you want it to look, as long as you know how to doodle, craft, color and not glue your fingers to your friecking eyelids)
