Hi, I'm new here... I've only been playing since June, or well, MH3U was gifted to me in June with a 3DS and I wasn't playing any games generally, but I quickly got addicted when I started playing more extensively in August.

My boyfriend has been playing since the beginning of time so I've been getting pretty informative lessons... but I don't have a group to hunt with that's convenient to my location or really anyone to talk to about it outside of Twitter & him. Thought joining some kind of forum might help me learn more!

He recently let me borrow a PSP and p3rd so I've been going back and forth, but I play MH3U much more often.

@PAiN---, he can be overprotective, always suggests I go mining while he's having all the fun pfft.

@TheLaw, I don't currently have access to a WiiU but I will after I move at the end of the year

I'm glad to see you're being able to use information on here to your hunting benifit already, or at least are figuring out where it all is on here for later use. The game really is quite addicting once you start it, isn't it ^-^

I'm sure you can't wait for that WiiU now, huh? I know I wouldn't be able to without plenty of distractions xD

hello,i'm new here but not new to monster hunter.I have been playing every mh that's has been released in the us,but i don't have mh3gu since i gotta buy a wii u. I have been playing mh4 for japan only,but i have only played the tutorial.But is mh3gu's online dead,cuz i heard from players that it isnt as popular as mh3's online mode.

Sounds like you've got quite a MH history to you! I've only played MH3 and MH3U myself, but they're good games available to systems in my household, so I'm happy with that.
I wish I knew the answer to your question, but I honestly have no clue... All I know about servers that've been active recently are MH3U ones, from what I've seen in the hunting journal area. Hopefully someone who has an answer will pop by and give you a heads up, though ^^"

Even so, you've definitely got a head start on some of us, like myself. I'm hoping for localization for the US, but I can read hiragana and katakana, plus will be possibly learning kanji when the new semester comes, so if it doesn't get an English version, there's always Japanese.

Thanks man. Once you have figured the menus out and have played it a few times you dont end up reading it anyway. You just kinda know where everything is. I have posted some menu translations on this forum though if anyone needs it.
Im not sure if it will get localized and if it does it wont be for another year or so I would imagine

I'm pretty much bran new to Monster Hunter. I bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate with my 3DS a over a year ago. I played it and almost sold it back because I could not get into it. The teller at the game store convinced me to keep it and give another chance. And I did, 6 months later. But since then I was not able to put it down. After putting over 100 hours into it, I feel like I'm missing somthing. I need to play with others, and the only way to do that is to buy a Wii U.

So my question is, how many of you are still playing MH3U on the Wii U? Is it too late, or is there still a wide user base?

I personally haven't played on the Wii U for a while. However, last time I did play online, there were allot of people on at that time. More than after last Christmas, and as far as I know, just as much as when it was released.

The reason I haven't been playing on the Wii U as much is because I got a 3DS and MH3U for it. Now I play on my 3DS, and one of my brothers (Who tried playing MH3 and never got hooked) plays on the Wii U. And he's finally hooked too.
