What is your LEAST favorite weapon?

First topic message reminder :

I bought a lance, tried it out, kept getting killed.. I need that tumble abilty,.. went back to the villiage and immediately sold that thing back to the blacksmith, lol.

My least favourite would have to be..

I dunno, I like them all lol. Maybe longsword, I seem to get hit more often when im locked in on sword attacks. Evasion skill is almost a must if I want to dodge as effectively as I do with other weapons without one.

I like sns a lot, but I very much dislike it underwater. From extremely agile and fast hitting to veru clumsy and slow with even fewer combos. No thanks.

SnS. Weak and insignificant.

for me it would be the BG cause not only do you need its own personal set which has barely any defence it chews up ammo which when gone your left with only normal lvl1 and you have to be as close to the monster as a blademaster so your shots aren't all wasted

Maybe I just suck I don't know but I just can't get a hang of the weapons you can't block with. For me SA or LS is just another word for terrible. I prefer to roll away but having the block alternative aswell is rly important to me :S

I realized after reading through this thread that I've only used half the weapons. And of those, I've only lanced in the arena. I don't like how the swax looks very much, so so far, that is my least favourite weapon. Recently, I've been thinking of giving it a try though...

I cant quote on my ipod, but to cragger: 1. If you have other people, you wont run out of ammo. 2. The gun is a medium range weapon. 3. You shouldnt get hit. 4. Whats a few more materials for another set? QUIT DISSIN MAH CANNONS!!!

LS and SA are both great weapons, but dodging comes with the business. I didn't start lancing till after I got my first LS so I learned to roll first, then once I got into HR31+ I used the lance to be able to block so thats why im not the best lance user around, but I still *try to* evade and counter with lance.

My point is, if you can't dodge, keep trying even if you fail, because at one point or another your going to need to dodge.

I never claimed that LS or SA are bad weapons. I did say that for [u]me[/u] these are bad weapons. I wanna be able to both block and dodge with a weapon Not just dodge. This is the main reason i have problem hammering aswell since I'm used to lance and GS. And for the record I used GS all the way from HR1 to like HR40 or so before I even tried lance and I fell in love with it instantly. :)

Anyway........
SWAX.
I easymode things with LS.
Give me a Great Sword. Give me maybe a month to improve my timing, I can do it.
Lance is same. SnS maybe. Same with Hammer. Bowguns are possible.
I can't SWAX to save my life.

I look at all you swax nubs and I laugh profusely. mind you, I can't use any OTHER weapon worth beans, so...

I don't enjoy to play with Lance and LS.
Don't know why but I have no fun with them.
Lance - Too slow, don't like to block. Can do poke any monster.
LS - Thin swords? No thanks xD
I love all huge weapons like great sword, hammer and switch axe the most.

I really hope you've actually tried using it. Off the bat counting out a weapon due to asthetic choice, IMO seems like a really dumb choice. Besides, there are LS more in line, size-wise with GS. But there is only one in Tri, so, whatever.

Ls -> I dont even get the chance to trip my team, All of my evade skills are disabled when im using it.
Swax-> About just the same..but I like using freestyle on wii mote xDD
(dont make the quest longer than 10 mins however, else I cant lance for the next 2 days xD)

Gs -> It makes me feel sad to miss a lv3 charge..That is all.

Greatsword. Like Black I absolutely HATE missing Level 3 charges by mere inches. Not only that but I'm absolute crap with the weapon too. I'm OK with other relatively slow weapons like Switchaxes, Hammers and Heavy Bowguns, but Greatsword gives slow a new meaning. Even when doing the hit and run technique I still feel like I'm holding an anvil.

I still like the weapon (which is why I use it sometimes), but not as much as the other weapons.

Of course I have tried to use it but I lost interested in LS anyways.

I have to say... I absolutely hate the lance. its just too clunky for me even thought i heard its almost godlike for the experts. for me, hammer is the best weapon of all time, with LS second. i loved the bow but alas, it is gone.

Well it's kind of slow, right? Get a Heavy Bowgun with a folding frame and it will be slow to handle, even with good recoil/reload.

Well it depends how many shots it can load >.>
I mean..my HBG has basicaly a 8 Hit Combo o,ob and a 1-2 Sec. reload iunno hows that slow

Yeah but you'll be moving around a lot to catch up with the monster or if you're using Pierce you've got to position yourself sometimes to get the right amount of damage. A Heavy Bowgun with a folding frame isn't slow in attacking, but I think it is slow in everything else (moving around, blocking if it has a shield [then again every bowgun with a shield has a big recoil in blocking], sheathing, unsheathing, etc)...

Your definition of slow is just different from mine I guess.

Out of all the weapons I'd say the lance is my least favourite. People say it's the best offline weapon. I use an SnS and I seem to do fairly well on land and in water.
