| Claws but no shell. Don't you need a weapon to bounce of the shell to break it? | |

Nope. I can break it with a yellow sharpness hunting horn xD If you're using the hunting horn just spam Triangle + Circle (at the same time) on his shell and you'll break it quickly. As for hammers, if it's above green sharpness just destroy it with whatever attack you've got.

I actually thought that at first... because my weapon wasn't bouncing (needs to have green sharpness or above to not bounce) and I thought I could break it... until I had about 100 hits on it and nothing.

| About the hermitaur thing... Ige broken through his shell with a devil slicer... So I guess you dojt need a blunt weap to break it. As for the gravios I find it easier to take a 1000 dmg hammer and uit him at his belly. Shock traps help a lot. | |

| I need help with HR 3 Shen Gaoren!!!
I really want to advance onto high rank, but I need tips for this giant ass crab.
I used full Blango armour and the Dead Revolver for the Chief's Shen Gaoren, and I killed him with 5 minutes to spare, I'm just not so sure how it will go against a slightly stronger Gaoren in the fortress.
What should I bring? | |

| I still say Red Dragonsword and up is the way to go. Or if you want to play it safe and gun, use Ceanataur equipment gemmed for Bullet Limit and something good with Pierce (Conga Assault+ is awesome!) | |

| High Rank mining points.
Me and my friend are at Ukanlos, and he's pretty much stopped us cold. So far I've been using the Demon's Darkflute and he's been using the Darkness Darkblade (or w/e its name is). Best run was cutting his tail, making him fall on his side, knocking him out and chipping the chin.
My current strategy is to use the Stamina boost whenever I can (Purble-Blue-Blue) so we can pretty much block or avoid anything he throws at us.
We're about to set out on getting Gravios X armour due to its fabulous Guard power (Guard +1 and Guard Inc without gemming? Yes please!) and the Large Pop Corn. Is this a good idea?
Any other tips for the White God?

| Apparently Large Pop Corn and Juggernaut together do the trick for Ukanlos. We didn't even have to change armour sets (we used Ceanataur Z).
Me and my friend, having both killed Ukanlos, have now unlocked the G-Rank weapons. Are there any reccomended weapons? Great Pincer G looked good and I happened to have the materials for it, so I made it. It absolutely DEVASTATES High Rank monsters (flinches Tigrex in two uncharged hits, easily rush-stopped it), and the Defense+20 is a nice bonus. The Rusted G weapons obviously aren't worth getting. I'm thinking the Spatula Set G might be fun to use - killing a wyvern with a ladle and spatula sounds hilariously epic! Isle of the Gods and Duelcaster G look pretty badass, and so do the other Hermitaur G weapons (namely the Longsword and Gunlance).
And on a final note, are there better non-G alternatives to these?

But I would suggest getting something good for Fatalis, Crimson Fatalis, and White Fatalis. It doesn't stop at Ukanlos, because as I've heard, Ukanlos is a PUSH-OVER compared to G-rank White Fatalis...

That sucks... Dual Plesioth... Goldenfish... I've done pretty much all quests except Chameleos, Lunastra, Teostra. I've got a few small monster slaying quests to do, and some gathering quests (e.g: gather so much mountain herbs or khezu whelps). And random hunting quests.

| Bah , just get some high rank gear and clear the plesioth one. The goldfish is pretty easy if you take with you a lot of bait and recognise the greenish-goldish color they have. | |

As I just said in my edit, elder dragons are my only real wall, as I've only done Lao-Shan, Shen Gaoren, Kushala, and Kirin.
