Wrong, anyone who played MHFU will notice it's way less of a pain. His tail spin on the other hand... You could stand in front on his face and still get whacked by the tail... And underwater.....

This explains a lot... I was already wondering why I couldn't chop it off The hip check is annoying, but it's by far not as bad as I'd heard.

| Plessy (or at least its hip check) is a joke compared to MHFU, but the tail is indeed very annoying. I took him out with a hammer though in about 15 mins, might try the HH today. I loved in on Lagombi. | |

| I'm sad. I can't play this game at all. I don't like the controls at all and can't comfortably do anything. But I'm sad because I really want to play this game but I just can't work the controls properly. The auto targeting is crap for the way I like to bow and I can't move the joystick with my pointer finger and move the camera with my thumb. If it was like the PSP I could manage. It's very disconcerting to fail to an Uruksusu because I just can't bow properly. I hate standing still and shooting because auto targeting dictates that's how it works, I need to move and shoot at the same time which is hard to do without clawing for me. And I failed miserably with Plessy.
I guess you guys won't be seeing me playing this game at all because I'm not buying a game I can't play. There's still Freedom, Freedom Unite and Portable 3rd though that you can play with me on Ad Hoc.

I'm guessing you played the 3DS version. Most control issues get fixed with a circle pad pro. Tri G was pretty hard to play without a CPP when I had it a while back; it's a shame that even the XL didn't fit on more buttons, but hey, that's your solution. Also others will probably tell you if you won't buy a CPP you just need to get used to the controls... I agree... it's not very pleasant to get used to it but it sure is possible ;)

| Keeping my 3DS in sleep mode to get the most out of a single use of the demo...
Lagombi is quite fun to fight. The auto-target mechanic is usable, but I do have a few gripes with the camera as a whole, so getting a CPP or getting used to the camera controls via touch screen would be a good idea (and suggestion for others).
Plesioth is noticeably toned down from what I could tell.Coming from Unite, I was able to remain outside the hip check's hitbox while being near the tail (WHOOT!) and also slightly behind him. His tail spin is still a pain, but seems somewhat better, though I believe the overall size of the tail itself might attribute to a large hitbox...or something. Another factor I enjoyed was being able to chase Plesioth underwater! So satisfying.....didn't quite help me though, as I barely completed that hunt.

There's still Freedom, Freedom Unite and Portable 3rd though that you can play with me on Ad Hoc. Were you playing on the 3DS? I had huge trouble trying to bow on 3ds, however, on the WiiU Gamepad and controller pro it was cake. I used the same hand technique as you in the past so it was pretty frustrating for me too. I STILL haven't mastered it on the 3ds yet. The dual analog on the WiiU helps out a lot or bowing, and you kinda do got to rely on the targeting to bow precisely. I hope that you can try on the wiiU if you haven't, and then reconsider..

I just feel comfortable with moving the joystick with my thumb and toggle the camera with my pointer finger. I have small hands so clawing is easier.

Fair enough, I have monstrously large hands so CPP is perfect for me, and I can claw fairly well. Actually tried out the bow again today and really had no problems that you mentioned... I don't think you COULD move and aim with R at the same time before; I always stood still when adjusting my shot. I just think you should give the controls a second chance, the 3DS ones are far from perfect but work well when you get them down; something like this shouldn't put you off from the (second) biggest, and best MH game released here.

It just seems weird to me... Clawing was only a natural thing to do on the PSP generations. It's not really something you can do on the 3DS or WiiU. But on the WiiU Pro Controller, the right analog is so close to the buttons that it's convenient for use with the camera, so it's ok. The claw is now a faded trend.

Maybe Gigginox is in the demo? I doubt it but I did find the egg XD

| There are missions where you have to deliver x amount of items. For example, Delivering 3 Wyvern Eggs. It may be for delivering an item without being at the camp, which would be great but kinda cheap. There would be no challenge to it. Or it may be like the 3 chest from mhp3 | |

I don't think you can deliver anything into the red box if there's no use for the box... Which is why it didn't work for you? It is a demo of the game, after all.

Then I don't even...
I tried a wyvern egg and it didn't allow me to deliver...
EDIT: I found out you can put choice mushrooms and unique mushrooms in the box as well... It seems that the account items you gather during quests can be placed into the red box to earn more money than being stuck carrying 10 [insert item] in your pouch for money... pretty neat.
Still no use of the "deliver" option yet... I can give cha-cha and kayamba a well done steak, so give is useable.
I guess Capcom decided to render "deliver" unusable in the demo.
Or it's only an option for moga village..
Or it's only for sub quests and main quests and not just meager account items...
