Lot's of people have complained about the button set up for both the Gamepad and the ProControllers and even the Classics for playing MH3U on the WiiU... well now there is the new Nyko controller offereing a completely new button configuration for those more use to.. ummm other styles...


What's important is having options when playing MH3U for long periods of time. The battery life is said to be good (not the 80 hours of the pro controller but much more than the 4 or so of the GP...)

For those who use a controller over the Pad, what do you think, is this something that you would be willing to go for? It's said to be both smaller and lighter than the Pro controller and less shiny...

id take any of em right now, playing on the DS is killing my hands

a regular 3DS or 3DSxl.. the 3DSxl is a bit easier for me to play on.. but the regular 3DS comes with some very nice grip attachments and Nerf attachments that make it more comfortable.

I have a WII U with classic controller that I love. I keep the wii U pad next to me for combining items etc...

I have a 3dsxl with the circle pad pro attachment so I have the same set up as my wiiu controller with 2 joysticks.

anyone know of an attachment where I can plug my classic controller into the 3ds? like a mod? I'd LOVE that....

Not incredibly pertinent to MH3U, but the Third party "Wii U Pro Controller" isnt actually a true Wii U Pro controller, its a set up that merges the Wii Remote and Classic Controller Pro.

So if you have games like Mass Effect 3: Special Edition that only work with Wii U Pros, it wont work.

That's why it's listed as a seperate controller. As it's not a pro or a classic/Wiimote

Main thing is, what plays best for you on MH3U.

I like the gamepad, easiest thing for me to adapt to, plus my only other controller is the CCP which just feels weird now that I use the Gamepad

I had a huge mishap buying that Retro Classic Controller Pro, got it to play ME3 and it wouldnt work, then we looked at the packaging and found out its just a CCP in WUPC clothing
