First topic message reminder :

I figured now would be the perfect time to start a complaint thread about your experiences with Randoms as I have a complaint about them already.

Anyways, in the Demo I set up a room for Tetsucabra. I get 4 people and as I'm choosing weapons one of the people leaves booting us all from the server. I hate that!

I evaded with my lance equipped, but I didn't see that cliff to the next area behind me. Whoops

So, I create two rooms for Gore Magala last night. Both times everyone was booted because Player 4 couldn't wait 5 seconds for me to press okay and get to the weapon select screen.

I'm normally not that fussed about being knocked off while Mounting - it gives everyone else an opening, which is still a good thing.

It's still even better to Mount a monster and not get knocked off.

What is wrong with the bow this iteration?? The Right shoulder is now the shoot button? X does the aiming, and A shoots a faster version of your current shot?

I am not sure I want to get used to this... Might have to avoid the bow altogether initially. /rant

you can change the controls back to the classic controlls in the options, even in the demo

i don't like the new controlls too much either, but i like how the aiming in the new controls works (permanently changeing to manual aiming mode)

I have gotten used to the bow configuration. It is a necessity in that with the bow you need to have a button free for midair attacks so you can mount the monsters. I see what they've done by putting the shooting button on the R Button. It's really not that hard to get used to at all. You can pull off a pretty sweet double hit combo this way I've discovered. I love it!

Go to Options, then select the other mode in Bow Controls.

If the Bow control thing also applied to BowGUNS, I might get used to it. As it stands, I'll stay with what I've used since Freedom Unite, thankyouverymuch.

Speaking of bows, I keep forgetting that the Power Shot is meant as a quick second shot after a charged shot, not as such.


Also, getting the Kinsect to give you the extract you want gets pretty annoying, especially at range with the whole marking thing. I mostly end up using it like I would a bow, snapping in one direction JUST so I can get an extract. Also, Gore Magala is really annoying to get Red and White extracts from.

Glaives: nearly no weapons to craft or upgrade. Seriously, there are a grand total of three Glaives in Low Rank: the starting Bone Glaive, one you make from Nerscylla and lastly the Gore Magala Glaive.

All three are awesome, but still...

No, my peeve is randoms with crap armor jumping into online, then getting twoshot by a raging Kecha Wacha. Meanwhile, Nerscy does pathetic damage against me even when it's pissed.

My biggest complaint, my hands and how much they hurt. Maybe it's a sign of my age but I just can't do these marathon Monster Hunter grinding sessions with the 3DS. Right now my fingers, wrists and upper arm muscles feel like I've been lifting heavy equipment all day.

Must be your age, or you're exerting FAR too much for this game.

Gore kept dying to fast before I could cut his tail off :/

Desire sensor wrecked my shit today. 7 Kut-Ku for one ear and a scale from Gore's tail.

The story mode Rathalos hunt in the cutscene area is so cool! When he went all like 360noscopez , pretty awesome! Darn it! it was too good *complain*complain

Gore magala and his frikken inability to get stunned like every other monster <.<

I did get a moral victory on like.. 4th gore magala hunt me and buddies did and stunned him at the near end.

Also wasted many flash bombs before I realised they don't work on him. Guess not, he's blind as a bat.

I like how theres 3 themes currently for monster hunter, and one is exclusive to people who bought it from the eshop (meaning fuck you MHn3dsxl/Collectors edition owners) and the other two are pretty much europe exclusive.

Took me a while to figure out how to do multiplayer.
I should have read the large amounts of text rather than skipping it...

My complaint for the day? Just how hard it is to break those horns on Gore Megala for the Feelers. You have to make certain it's in rage mode to break them it seems.

I can't move away from Jaggi Armor due to Sharpener skill. It's defense is low, and I need an upgrade...

I gemmed my nerscylla armor with speed sharpening, it has enough armor with little bit of spheres to last me to high rank and good skills to boot (trapmaster, negate sleep & cap guru). Also looks like some sorta power armor which pigment I can choose as well. :p
