First topic message reminder :

I didn't see one of these threads yet so I decided to start one.

To start it off, does anyone know how to unlock all of the 6* Caravan quests? I want to fight the high rank Gore without doing the Gathering Hall quests.

So its not about the "grade of drops" as everyone keeps saying. it about the numbers.

so this confusion comes form terms used.

Kiranico is telling me that a readiness jewel uses two slots for 4 points toward the skill and/or one slot for 2 points. Can anyone confirm this?

I am planning an endgame GS set and this seems really easy to get for how useful the skill is.

The Readiness skill, like many other rare skills, are Relic-only decorations that can only be found on Relic weapons or armor as built-in jewels that are unable to be removed. The only other methods of getting skill points for these are armors with the skill (such as Kaiser X armor for 5 points in Readiness), or very rare talismans.

Has anyone try the skill Survivor in expedition? IMO it looks like a skill that is very handy due to the unlimited carts.

In the previous Monster Hunters that I've played, it only worked twice. I'd assume it's the same for this one as well.

I was afraid of that. Thank you though. I will have to change the skills that I put in then. Unless I can get head and arm armor pieces with +5 on each.

I was so excited... I almost had a set (for seregios or relic GS) with crit draw, focus, unshakable, and sheath control. And that would still have the talisman, weapon, and a three slot open. Maybe I can get lucky with the charm and get readiness or at the least put in AuXL.

how many levels can you usually upgrade a relic weapon? and how far (percentage) do the stats rise?

Four levels, IIRC. As far as I know, what gets upgraded on the Relic depends on what it has: for instance, if I upgraded my Hellstrings relic, it would increase the defense bonus by +5 each time. If I upgraded my Type 41 Wyvernator relic, it would gradually remove the negative affinity (removing -5% per upgrade).
Personally, I'm not sure how much of a damage bonus it upgrades - try upgrading a relic that gets its raw damage increased, then divide the increase in damage by the weapon multiplier.

thanks for the info i'll do some experiments

I personally haven't ever seen a relic weapon that increases its raw damage. They've all either been affinity or defense.

All the Relic Swax and Bows I have polished upgrade the Raw.

BTW, we do not mean polishing... we mean upgrading using the armor spheres.

Yep, same here.

Greatsword went from -25% affinity -> -20% -> -15% -> -10%
Different one went from +5 defense -> +20 -> +35 -> +50
Neither increased in raw, 1680 -> 1680 -> 1680 -> 1680

Here it is.

I believe once you are above a certain quality, the Raw is capped.... I haven't gotten anything that high for me to verify this yet, but others have already mentioned it.

Edit: What I want to find: Max raw GS with purple and a sleep component.... *Mmmmmm.... sleep.... *

Why are hunter names sometimes purple?

When you hit HR100 your name turns purple. When you hit HR999 your name turns light blue.

Does anyone know when the event for the GX hunter armor comes out?

I would very much like to have that set...

I am not sure if this is right, but from kiranico.com. It should come out in the fifth dlc, but don't take this as reliable.

ANTIQUARIAN'S SLATE: Proof you have obtained all appraisable equipment from Ancient Shards.

How exactly do you get these awards? By "all appraisable equipment", do the include the Worn/Rusted weapons along with the normal junk too?

Each Rustshard weapon has the Iron Weapon and Rusted weapon for its drop.
Each Ancientshard weapon has the Crystal Weapon (e.g. Blue Crater lance) and Worn weapon for its drop.
There's basically two weapons per weapon class, get both for all weapon classes.

Ahh, okay. Because I had all of the Worn weapons + God's Isle and I still didn't have the Ancient Shard award. Oh well, I guess I'd better start saving the Crystal weapons too.

Okay that makes sense. Fifth event isn't helpful but fifth DLC is.
