| Did event quests to get my sinister saints and meat mask for chacha, killed all four monsters each time in the 'colorful beasts' event. Yes, I killed/capped the brachy each time. I only got close to time limit the first time, because I spent so long with narga. It was worth it, got a gem and mats from brachy too and used that to make + upgrade dios lance. Lance really feels slow after you kill fast things with a fast weapon, it really really does. After that just worked on canteen + key quests online, beat ivory lagi there and steel gaan for another canteen upgrade. Would love those drink upgrades, but I don't know when those are so w/e. Will be up to more key quests tomorrow, want to get G-rank armor before I go into HR moga woods for free hunt. And Brachy sns, been holding off on that far too long. | |

| Finally hit G rank yesterday yeey. It feels the difference between High rank and G rank. Face G. Jaggi and Rathian - they were way faster and powerful. Also farming Goldbeard for few armor pieces of Helios X and Z, but so far no luck getting his gem. Looks like it'll take some time. Lookin forward G rank diablos for long waited and planned GS set. | |

| Got G-Rank, Deviljho gave me his claws, so now I have Powertalon/Powercharm & ArmorTalong/Armorcharm equipped ^_^.
One thing... Someone take Baggi off uppers... I felt like I was fighting in slow motion vs him. And Kudos to the programers on the Bear-Hug attack of Azuro-species, that was hillarious to see.

| Beat up more key quest monsters, black diablos + sand bari went smoothly despite my suspicions of pain and suffering. Targeting black diablos first is the trick it seems. Ice agna is annoying to fight, but w/e. Jho really does feel weaker, managed to capture it in only 20min using dios lance. Got armortalon to add to my powertalon from that, and went into Goldbeard armed to the teeth. Only took 2 dragonators and about twenty minutes, was rather surprised to be honest. Didn't hit me with it's water beam, but I was using plessy armor with water res food buffs so it wouldn't have done much. After taking down Goldbeard, went into the 2x Lagombi 2x G.Baggi quest to try out G.Rank. Hot drinks run out faster, so that answers my question as to why heat cancel lo worked in all areas of the volcano in high rank. Very hot/cold temps are only in G-rank now. Also, G.Baggi moves at least twice as fast as normal. Makes it really silly when it starts limping out of the area really. Lagombi seemed about the same to be honest. Got Grank bird wyvern gem from that one hunt, among other materials, not sure which armor to make first though. Will decide by tomorrow. | |

| Yesterday i farm Goldbeard for final parts of my set. Carved 1 dark dragongem and 1 deep dragongem. The problem is i needed G. Deus fur... and i got none although i shaved his beard. Same goes with elderdragon blood. Looks like it's more rare for me than gems... desire sensor just working fine but w/e. I'll try farmin him few days more. I still need 1 dark dragongem for final Great Inceadeus upgrade.
Than i did pink ian for key quest purpose only. Take me good 35 minutes with high rank crap armor and weapons. Also charted twice. Looks like it's time to make some proper gear.

But beat G. jaggi in sub 3 minutes with entry level hammer. Has he been nerfed or something?
Also arzuros was disappointing.

Well... dunno how to put it... everything has been nerfed outside of G rank. As for me, today i did more goldbeard farming. Really hate this guy now. But finally got all i want for now except 1 elderdragon blood... so decided to do normal Deus because he's easier and for some reason Goldbeard is not givin me his blood... hm. Did one Deus, no blood but 2 gems -__- Now that really piss me off because now i have so many gems that i can make another set of armor or spare Great Inceadeus. Desire sensor vs me: 1:0. Hope i can get it tomorow and finally progress to next star.

Two more Rathalos Shells One Rath Marrow Two more Firestones
(Actually, if I could find a couple of Monster Keenbones, I'd have a Vortex Hammer +!)

| Did some gathering and more 2 g.baggi + 2 lagombi quests, great baggi just moves way too fast... I can handle it, it just looks and sounds really unnatural. Well, got my Lagombi X blade armor and gemmed in protection and autotracker thanks to a nice charm I have. Hunted some bari and ludroths to upgrade my water and ice sword and shields, hunted Brachy with those after and got a gem in tail carve to upgrade dios sword and shield. Tested it in G.Jaggi + Duram + Azure los quest and finished in 20min, mostly since G.Jaggi was a pushover. Just gonna say, the boosted superman jump is REALLY fun to use if done sparingly. Then again, it can only be used when a big monster sees you so... Well, gonna start farming free hunt and clearing quests in village tomorrow. Only way to get bumblekins, hard corns, gloamgrass, certain masks, etc... | |

Just got the Rath Marrow I need to upgrade to a Red Bludgeon.
Now all I need is one more Firestone - easy enough.
BTW, the next one to go down will be the Barioth (I read a Rathalos Fire Weapon is IDEAL for fighting him!)
However, I still seek two Monster Keenbones to upgrade my Vortex Hammer...

| Almost at 100hrs.
Currently HR4, and at the 7* village. I'm trying to keep my port and village progress matched. Plan is to clear 7* and 8*, then go back online to finish HR4. I'm hopping online to farm some LR from time to time (so many lagi horns...).
Became overpowered today - saw a HR3 hosting an event room, so I joined. In there was a HR26, and the goal was farming the "Colorful Beasts" event. 5 runs later, and I am the proud owner of Sinister Saints, which at this point in the game, is easily my strongest weapon. I was also able to make Zin's DS from the quest and break rewards. Rained Los Rubies, too. Nice to see that some things didn't change from Tri (HR events in Tri seemed to give lots of rares like rubies and sapphires).
Later, I finally decide to try out BOOMERANGS! I took a stack of 10 'rangs with me on the HR village Gobul quest, in an attempt to try to hack his tail. I'm carrying a Huracan Hammer, so the rangs are my only shot at getting the tail cut (well, maybe one of the Shakalakas, but that's not likely).
5 minutes into the hunt, Luddy shows up. I decide I'm going to hunt him, too. Detour to hunt him. And silly me decides that I'm not up to hunting both in the water, so I wait until one of them leaves the water to continue the attack. (Lazy! or just tired)
I'm wearing Plesi set, and I had thought about capping Gobul, but capped Luddy instead. Then went after Gobul. Broke his lantern, and then OFF with his tail! Well, I tried at least. For 45 min. I had Gobul limping at 35min, and then spent just 10min just throwing rangs. My stack of rangs was down to 2. After the 5 min warning, decided I had enough and went to town on Gobul's face. It was close - got a lantern+ at least, and a wyvern stone in the quest rewards.
tl;dr: has anyone successfully cut a tail with a boomerang? I'm thinking I should try it out on a LR monster first. Does anyone know if any of the attack buffs (might seed, AUX, etc) affect rang damage? It's probably like stone/knife damage.

a cage at the Brainy Biologist's study!
BTW, I just capped Uragaan, finishing Uragaan's Trail.
Also, if you need help on capturing (I seriously did on Uragaan, where I had almost no trouble with other captures) make Perception Jewels (1 Aquaglow Jewel + 1 Rhenoplos Shell + 1 Binoculars) at the Smithy.
Put five in your armor and you will activate Capture Guru - the paintballed large monster will flash when he or she is ready for capture.
