Most shameful thing you did when young and newbie?

Things you did in the past, whichever MH game it was, that you look back to and say to yourself "OMG HOW COULD I? "

I actually got to the point of going on a Jhen run...

I'm actually surprised nobody pointed at me and laughed in the Tavern.

After that one time I think I've never gotten to use that epitome of uselessness again.

I have seen hundreds of people go on Jhen with a Guan Dao, only because it's dragon element.
Mine... you mean, like, wtf moments?

I dont see whats wrong with going on a Jhen run with a Guan Dao....
I actually used my bowgun agaisnt it on my veery first run instead of using the ships cannons and ballista, now THATS more shameful :lol:

On my first jhen I wanted to know what everything did... I hit gong and nator at the very start XD! Even worse... I remember when I thought a hammer could be used to cut tails in my first couple of days of the original MH... I always wondered why I never got ian plates xP!

My first Jhen... Well, kinda hard to remember, I think I used a SA, with dragon phial.

Cart, and use an Auto-Guard tali.

I um... well... I kinda sorta may have used the fabled Rath+, Guan Dao, Autoguard combo before...

Hey it was a while ago, Rath+ was the only armour I had and autoguard was the only decent tali I had.
No excuses for the Guan Dao though.

I am proud to say I never used rathian armor. Although I did use guan dao for a bit. When I went high rank I chose jaggi+ armor (dat gluttony).

My armor went like this:

Jaggi>Barroth>Rathalos>Jaggi+>Rathalos(HR upgrade)>Escadora/Vangis

Yes. I love rathalos armor. AUL+Heat Cancel+Cold Cancel+Speed Sharpening was sexy in my opinion. In fact, I had speed sharpening gemmed since barroth armor. Screw auto-guard.

I used the same rath armor from HR1-51 Essentially, with a bit of Jaggi+ in there.

I've never used rathian armour or guan dao. I think because during my clueless noob days I pretty much exclusively lanced.



On that note, I spent a decent portion of offline turtling and lance charging. So there's my shameful deeds.

around HR 20, i had a BG set that sucked horribly. 0 skills whatsoever. now i caan gun though, but i need to finish with my uragaan+

I tried asking the Forge Guildie out, but I dropped the Hammer I ordered.

My single and foremost shame, even today, is being woefully unprepared sometimes.

And i will come out and say that i did use Guan Dao, and i still have it in my box...

But as for armor, Mine pretty much went:

Jaggi>Barroth>Ian>Lagi>Los>Jho

I remember that i used to think like "WHY are people attacking the cracks in jhens back?!" when I first did him. The "Oh right this was in tundra, should've brought hot drinks" Still happen once and then but that's just me missing out in prep.

Is lance charging bad on Ceadeus if you have a Gleam with Razor Sharp skill?

It's always bad.

Triple cart on a Low Rank Rathalos. We were a three man team and the match was taking ages. Me with my Low Rank Lagiacrus armour and next to useless additional skills (Health + 20 and Autotracker), I fell victim to the fireballs loads of times, and my third cart came at around the 25 minute mark. That's the only time I ever triple carted in online, and it haunts me in my dreams to this very day.

Also, being guilty of using Blitzkrieg (R) with Status Atk Down (I liked the raw attack too much to care), and thinking Paralysis was Thunder. But I'm proud to say I never touched Guan Dao or Rathian armour :3.
