Most shameful thing you did when young and newbie?

I'm actually surprised nobody pointed at me and laughed in the Tavern.

After that one time I think I've never gotten to use that epitome of uselessness again.

i was hunting online with 3 people and got killed by a popo

I didn't want to abandon so I stood in front of a altaroth, 3 times. And wait as they slowly poked me to death

Getting stuck at a quest just because I kept on killing a instead of capturing him.

On my first jhen morhan hunt (As Silver) I used the dragonator, I just wanted to see what it does! /versad/

My biggest noob moment…. O just 2 days ago, spent an hour organizing my box so all the materials I take for ala are in order they are created and finding the best order in my pack on the hunt. 5 min. later departed on quest. I quickly found I had not only left out cool drinks but ALL meds as well. I always wondered how anyone could forget cool drinks on an ala hunt, but what kind of noob forgets cool drinks and meds during an hour of organization. *Face palms*

I can recall two such incidents.
The first was the very first time I went on the mushroom gathering quest. It was the first time I had every played monster hunter and had no idea what I was doing. It took me 40 minutes before I figured out that I could gather them from the mushrooms scattered throughout the deserted island.
The second one is I played through the entire offline game only using the para switch axe. I thought it was the best way to beat every monster.

I'm still a noob but the most shameful thing I've done so far is get stuck on capturing a Great Jaggi on offline. It took me 20 times /versad/

Hmm... Possibly forgetting to eat right before mega Alatreon and by that time I was 400+ on Yuki (R.I.P). If not that my first deviljho hunt I was terrified I had a few high rank friends that wanted to introduce me to deviljho one look at it and I was thinking what have I gotten myself in to I ended up fainting twice and barely capturing deviljho. Oh one thing I had just remembered as I was typing this was running away from a royal ludoroth while I was gathering in the flooded forest I see that sponge enter the area first thing I do is run I end up being rolled over dying. What makes it so shameful I came from Monster Hunter Freedom Unite so I came from a backround of hunting rajangs Tigrexes Nargas to fear that sponge is probably the lowest point of my hunting career.

Failed on the very first quest to kill Jaggi with lance. xD
Then I used sns and went back to lance after quest was over.
Jaggi too thin for lance...

When i was doing online Barroth Urgent my brother told me that if i run and evade at the same time i jump and i am invincible while in the air. So i when the Barroth charged at me i did that and i landed to soon and died.

probably forgetting whetstones, I actually did that recently n had to spam spirit attacks on Ala with broken red sharpness... still got that 3rd para off tho >_>

I used to wear full escadora blade with a wep that didnt require awaken and didnt gem it at all. Though that was a very long time ago, I still look back at it and giggle at myself a bit xD
I also used to lance charge spam thinking "OMG so many hits, im probably doin epic damage! o.o"
Oh the shameful nostalgia, packs a punch like a barroth tackle.

On my first mushroom gathering quest I thought I needed to take the boat at the camp to a deserted Island. ran out of time, looked online to see what to do and proceded to slam my head on my desk repeatedly.

I don't get the newspaper question, but yes I had to stand in an area of the volcano and slowly get poked to death by those bugs because I didn't know how to abandon at the time, soooooo boring...

I was hunting a G. Jaggi When he body smashes me into a different area I had a minuscule amount of Health left and I was out of potions/herbs so I go gather some and some were kelbi nearby While gathering a Kelbi hit me,I died, and failed the quest. I sat there thinking dafuq just happened :scratch:. Luckily This was offline so nobody saw it

Made a Rathian gunner armour and thought Crag are the best shots. :p

(I still <3 the looks of that armour, though).

Jhen event with leather armor and iron sword. I tried killing delex by dropping canon balls on them.......I'm sorry diego....T-T

Attempted to solo jhen with the SWAX figure 8 move only and adren with Sharp+1 on Black harvest.

I made around 30 Rare Steaks trying to make my first Well-Done Steak. (I didn't know I had to click after the music stopped and this was way back when I first played Monster Hunter Freedom.)
