I would say do it in the village for this.

Your next best bet would be to wait for a Yoshi event quests as those usually yeild better/more rare items.

Is it comfirmed that you can't get gems from carve? I got jho gem from body carve and zinogre jasper from carve. I got Brachidios gem from rewards so can't comfirm it. But those two yeah

Got any idea how to get those Ancient/Ancient X armors? Or what they're called in 3U? Those are event armors?

Okay those are artian x and you probably need to make use of hunters for hire for the rusted fragments needed.

or fishing, you can get most <maybe all i haven't looked into it too much> from sending the fishing fleet out.

Yeah but there are two versions. Artian and Artian X/G rank. I'm interested in one piece of G rank version - feet. It gives some crazy stuff like FreeElemnt +5, Handicraft+3 and one slot 0.o I'm curious what do i need to make them?

For low rank/high rank you need first do some upgrades of your boats from traiding with Agrosy capt. rare stuff. Than send boats - profit. But what about G rank version? Same stuff?

If it's hunter for hire only armor than i'm fckd... none of my friends have this game.

Might just be hunting fleet and some G-rank ores what does the high rank need?

What does the "Gloves Off" Skill do?

It's only 3 parts. No waist and head. But it's not unlocked to forge until you obtain those fragments. I have all ores but it still didn't show up.

Chest: Large Fragment x3, Rusted Fragment x5, Fucium Ore x3, Carbalite Ore x6
Hands: Slender Fragment x3, Rusted Fragment x5, Fucium Ore x3, Dragonite Ore x9
Feet: Long Fragment x3, Rusted Fragment x5, Gracium x4, Dragonite Ore x9

I have no clue about G rank version. No info on the web either... i searched.

g-rank:
copy/pasted from brady guide, i think it showed up for me when i mined either eltalite ore or purecrystal, i didn't start sending ships to get fragments till i found out about this armor.
i don't think i saw the high rank version.

Finally!! an answer to wath to do with those fragments i was tempted to get comodities for them i don't know if i used them for that lolz i'll go check later, i have 2 diferent ones glad to know they are used for something, i even tried to combine them lolz.

Sorry for launching an avalanche of questions but i'd like to ask, if anyone knows how to get Rusted and Long fragments? I know they're both from boats, but where did you send them etc. I read somewhere that it's only 5% chance to obtain long fragment.

You can get a gem from carve. I've gotten gems from: tail carve, shiny, rewards, and body carve.

Were you talking about the Brachydios? If so, what would make it easier to get a gem. Capping it, or killing it?

EDIT - Also, is there only two items you can get from carving the tail? The tail, and a gem? Because I've never gotten anything but a tail from the tail.

If i remember right i got them from the Abyss Volcano without any extra stuff, or maybe when i got the 4rth place to send them, try there if you want use treasure hunt map was it? to make the hunt better.
Also try not to want them becouse of the desire sensor hhahahaha

rusted fragments are from any treasure place
large fragments are from moga straits
slender fragments are from abyssal volcano
and long fragments are from pirates tomb

the non-rusted fragments are about a 5% chance from their respective locations... good luck
i'm not sure how the treasure trackers affect those odds, but i assume it's in a good way.

where does one acquire a scalding pleuera? (or whatever its called, I don't have the game open right now to check spelling.)

Any idea if you can get Commendations in the Port? I know the Jaggi and Pink Rathian, Rathian and Barroth, and Jade Barroth and Gigginox Village quest give them, but are there Port missions for them?

I wanna help my brother so we can get our High Rank Guild Armor, not send him off by himself for 10 commendations

You can get scalding pleura from Agnaktor. Low rank stuff I think.

I couldn't find any. I'm only up to HR4, though.

The clue is to look for a Hunting Quest where the goal is "Hunt all Large Monsters" as opposed to "Hunt a Jade Barroth and Baleful Gigginox" or "Hunt 2 Barroth."

Event quests don't count: the reward slot for Commendation is replaced by the event reward.


Speaking of these hunts: Anyone notice that the multiple hunts are a little different in MH3U vs Tri? (Compare: Flooded Forest Free-For-All in both games)

In Tri:

• Large monster carves were monster parts.
• Body breaks got 0 rewards.
• Captures got 0 rewards.

In MH3U:

• Large monster carves (including tails) and shiny drops are always MegaPotions.
• Carving small monsters gets Rations.
• Break rewards ARE active.
• Capture still gets 0 rewards.

Knowing that, if you're in HR/GR and a new LR multi-monster event comes up, it's a good chance to get 10 MegaPotions and some break rewards.
