| Wow, 8hr work days gets you behind everybody else fast!
All 1* and 2* Village quests cleared. Really impressed with how much the game 'pops' on the screen - I thought Tri looked good on Wii, but this is hands down better! The monsters in particular look awesome!
Glad I got the DLC - 5000 resource points! Farm upgrades coming quickly, now.

| End of day 3 Worked my way up and defeated Ceadeus, had to work on some weapons on the way but w/e. Got really far really. Stopped after the repel, gonna take my time now that I'm past anything that might have only been in Tri. Also, not sure why but on a whim I tried the DLC again today and I got it first try. Not sure what this black magic is, but not going to complain about it. Gonna save Purple luddy for tomorrow, maybe work up through the port quests and do the bullfango quest. I'll decide tomorrow, but I have work so I won't be doing anything too rough. | |

Yeah, I had to work to 12 hour shifts all last week and Monday in order to take virtually no PTO. Was hell, but worth it.

| Day 3: Beat Brachydios, First boss to make me double cart, that guy stays on you like glue. Also did some volcano runs, got some 3 slots charms with +3 gunner skills and a few rust weapons.
Planning to try and farm brachy tomorrow to get all of his weapons except great scrub sword.

| 3rd day: with 8 total hours of playtime, I have now gotten up to Ceadeus, have decent low rank armor, and mastered alot of the hunting horn moves. Can pretty much get my buffs in while fighting without running away or looking for huge openings, which will be great once I am fully online. Finally got the transfer tool, and I can take my game with me.
... hating the 3DS controls. >_<

| End of day 4: Had work so I only had time for some casual hunting, taking a break from it for the rest of the night. Only thing of note was trying out the bullfango event quest, organizing my box (I don't use sort box), and getting a rathalos plate from a tail cut off in free hunt. | |

Yesterday I went Streaking with Bullfangoes for the first time (BTW, I use a War Hammer.)
I saw it as a two-dimensional version of Alluring Dress from Tri - I consider Streaking much easier than Alluring Dress because of two things:
1) Streaking with Bullfangoes does not force you to worry about your oxygen gauge.
and
2) Streaking with Bullfangoes operates on only two dimensions, where Alluring Dress deals in all three.

| Day 4: Went straight from HR 0, to G-rank HR 6. The amount of quests it takes to get to G is a joke. (As long as you get some help for that last urgent :P.)
Plan for the rest of the weekend: Expand G-rank armour collection.

Got the 3 voltstones necessary for a DS upgrade. Now to go get Lagi Horns to finish it.
Then I'm off to High Rank Rathian.

| Day 2: Never realised how ugly Ceadeus was until I looked at him in 1080p. Sent him packing and got access to High rank village quests. Going to slow down a little and forge a larger variety of weapons since I used the same 3 hammers for the majority of low rank. | |

| Forgot to post this last night before bed so I'll do it now
End of day 5 Did some free hunt, beat purple ludroth to get into high rank, gathered up materials for leather+ and yukumo+ to start off high rank before I went through all of the high rank quests besides the double ones and jaggia menace. Pink rathian kicked my butt around harder than I'd care to admit, probably need to make use of that thunder attack +7 charm I got after I get a better thunder weapon (using the felyne sw.axe so far).
Also, if you take a gold gargwa egg back to the mountain springs base camp you can trade it for something from the veggie elder. I got a wonderful beak from it, but just be aware that the spawns will change to challenge you.

| 5th day, midday: Been spending a lot of time on High Rank Rathalos and Brachydios. Got the Dios Swax and Lance, still farming to make his armor set. Surprisingly, it is very difficult to obtain Brach Ebonshell. Need 3 more to finish the set. I would probably have it if I didn't spend so much time in Multiplayer getting people up to HR3, but what are friends for, right? | |

| Added 2 checks onto the massive list of G-rank armour I want, for Azuros and Pink Rathian. And also farming grank talis, yet the ones I'm getting from enduring charms are only giving around +3 to skills with never any slots. Little disappointing. | |

| Roughly 23 hours into the game with low rank barroth armour. Monsters seem to do about half the damaged they did in tri, in fact low rank was even easier than p3rd low rank for me at least.
Finished the HR1 urgent quest and beat the ceadeus finishing low rank online.
Will probably be spending tomorrow getting to HR3 and doing the purple ludroth urgent.
Also, tomorrow I'll hopefully have the 3DS version so I can play MH anywhere I go. /yes/

| About 35-40 hours in.
HR 2, Just need a few rathian carapace and i'll have my 7 Star village urgent. Got a bucket load of resources, farming like mad, 200 + pots, mega pots, even upto 100 max pots now, tons of traps, bombs, etccccccc. Got 5 Weapons on the blend, 3 are elemental currently, and those 3 are also High rank made.
Not making much of HR i have to admit, things just take 5 more minutes to kill soon as you learn their new patterns.
