I figured now would be the perfect time to start a complaint thread about your experiences with Randoms as I have a complaint about them already.

Anyways, in the Demo I set up a room for Tetsucabra. I get 4 people and as I'm choosing weapons one of the people leaves booting us all from the server. I hate that!

Not necessarily. I personally only do Expeditions to get guild quests. The main reason I do expeditions is for the Battered/Seasoned/whatever-the-G-rank-stuff-is-called armor and weapons.
The reason I do way more guild quests than regular expeditions is because I found it really hard to get any Battered/Seasoned weapons or armor on expeditions. Whereas with guild quests, I can get them much more abundantly.

The battered/Seasoned armor pieces I've gotten that have gems in them already have had gems that do skills like Nimbleness, Avarice, Edgemaster, Status Res., and stuff like that. Basically skills that do a mixture of other ones.
I've gotten low rank armor pieces that do Edgemaster +2 in them. It would be very possible (And not too hard) to get a low rank set with Honed Blade pretty much as soon as you unlock expeditions/guild quests.

Its funny i do expeditions for the relic gear. I never get any on the guild quests, not mining and not as rewards.

Anyways @ Seth and tkmt. I know what the story says it just doesn't seem believable. In the short amount of time the volcano has been inactive the amount of ecological changes don't seem physable.

So between trying to unlock my G2 to G3 urgent, why is everyone so bad at Chaos Gore Magala? Like at best we break everything on it but then people end up dying, I myself have yet to die to the thing (often with over 100 defense less than some people), and they just get trashed by the thing. Yes it does hit hard but if you know that you'd think people would learn to not press their attacks recklessly.

So yeah, the game throws out Machalite Ore like candy, but is all "GOOD LUCK FINDING EARTH CRYSTALS"

That's why I don't play online.

First, the online needs to get fixed.... There are SOOOO many connections errors

Also, whenever I mount a monster, but they are outside the invisible wall so I get denied a mount, it's really annoying.

I need rare high rank materials. Farming them online would be much faster, but I am HR 2 heheh.

This happens to me almost all the time with Nerscylla.

Tail farming five Stygian Zinogre has given me one tail.

I should not be having the amount of difficulty that I am in getting goddamn pin tuna.

I now hate Expeditions with a fiery, tangible rage.
Monsters have no true escape timer as it seems they are "about to flee" at any random point the game decides to screw you over.
Random quests given to you for expedition hunts (slay a Seltas Queen, get a Velocidrome quest? wtf?). Why?

Why did they make monsters flee permanently? Damn it, this crap aggravates me.
I hate the Expedition, but damn it all, there's monsters that are locked in exclusive Guild Quests.

Kinda petty, but I'm getting REAL sick REAL fast of people, who for lack of a better word I deem "idiots", who insist on stupid monster nicknames...Gogmazios is not George...I said it before I'll say it again, there's no way to derive such a "nickname" from either his English or Japanese spelling. Same with Seregios and "Steve".

STOP IT...it's just stupid, you look stupid when saying it. Nicknames are usually something based off a shorter version of an existing name or a characteristic of the one being given the nickname. JUST STOP IT....all the older monsters always had nicknames based on their own names. Rathalos and Rathian "los and ian", diablos "blos", Lagiacrus "Lagi", Fatalis "Fata or Fatty", hell I've even seen Ceadeus as "deus", and Monoblos as "mono" (hey lets go hunt some Mono!...now we can fight disease!)..

Seriously though, when you join the internet stupidity of stupid nicknames you only make yourself look dumb as hell. Be a bit more creative than "steve and george".

Since the village quests are done and all, I went online. I found some remnants from the demo AKA staff users who literally just use the vault. I didn't mind so much since it's only low rank, but holy geeze.

Earth Crystals?? I had over 300 before ever getting to high rank. A lot of them I found in the Expeditions but still.

Honestly I just think the deal with those nicknames is the "humor" that comes with naming something as mundane as a boring human name.

But until Phazon posted that, I had no Idea who George and Steve were when i saw it in chats/blogs/forums.

Its very difficult to understand Steve is Seregio.....

I though they were some internet inside joke that i didnt know about, so i never asked.

What's hard naming seregios "gios" instead of something that has no relation to it like steve? Makes no sense to me and I'd prolly yell at anyone who even made an attempt of using such a nickname. :p

Anyhoo, my recent pet peeve is lancers who keep charging in hopes for a mount... regardless if they keep hitting teammates on they way to a frikken lagombi of all things. G-rank too. Mounting is good when monster is big, hits hard and toppling it opens it's weakpoints and tails for everyone to smash around. Mounting is bad when it simply interrupts the smashing face in fest on a very small monster which doesn't even need to be mounted to break it's back or reach it's weakest parts (such as lagombi). Just minding my own business, demon dancing a lagombi and a lance comes charging at my back to knock me and my longsword friend off.. *sigh*

I feel your pain with those lancers... it's been horrible, really.

So did the Huntathon: Nerscylla, figured i could get lots of good materials and all the sharp claws i need.

Killed 5 spiders, figured that should be good. rewards screen gave me 2 carapace, 1 shear and 2 spike+.
The only freaking sharp claw i got was one i carved..
WTF!!!.

Serious. So the huntathon isnt worth it since you get the same rewards no matter how many you kill.
