I figured I'd post this here. I've already found footage of the MH3U NYCC demo. Sadly, this isn't all that great in terms of content: It only shows the end of a Barroth quest and Moga Village (and the Tablet.). That being said, what you do see of the game looks a-freakin'-mazing!
This is the only video I've seen so far. Hopefully there'll be more demo footage come tomorrow. Until then, this will do!

Here's some more footage of the NYCC Demo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86zhuhTOe1U This is a guy, obviously a newb, attempting to hammer Zinogre with a Lagia Hammer... Is it just me, or are there a lot of noobs trying to fight Zinogre? Is it just because he's new to the west, and is such a badass? Getting back on track... This is some more shaky footage, but it still looks all good. What we really need now, however, is footage of a veteran playing this, instead of all these newbies running around the map.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but do we know how many monsters will be in this game? Have they revealed the total, or at least a ball-park yet?
All large monsters including sub-species = 52 approx.

Here's a twofer for this post! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-7zZGYZcwM This is another post from the first guy, and this one is much longer than the other two. This one features a guy with para dual blades vs Zinogre. What's more, the person playing seems to have an idea on what they're doing. If anything, it looks like they're still a little awkward in using the Wii U Controller, and for that they keep getting combo'd. If anything, the loud music in the back (this one is taking place on the open floor.) and the extra bright screen are the only two things to complain about in this video.
Second Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oui6JqTUi9s this one features a very brief hunt against Aoashira! Man, that thing makes Great Jaggi look like a real boss... Afterward, he goes off for, you guessed it, Zinogre. This guy is definitely a newb. He does have some friends helping him out, but he's quickly overwhelmed by the camera controls and the monster. And he walks around with his switch axe in sword mode... If anything, this is a nice video to see the switch axe in action.

Alright, this will probably be my last post for NYCC MH3U demos. I'll go ahead and post it off the top, and hide my critique of it in a spoiler. I will say this here, though: If this is my last post of NYCC (and it more than likely will be!), then I definitely saved the best for last! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y1mpIurp7M
Spoiler:
The last few NYCC demo videos I've posted have been a bit, dare I say... Noobish. Well, for this last one, I was pleasantly surprised. No, this guy is not a "pro hunter." This was, I feel safe to say, one of the first times, if not THE first time, he fought Zinogre. He took hits. He kept running into the thunder balls (which I found hilarious). HOWEVER, it was easy to see that this guy was no simple noob. He had an idea on what to do. Interestingly, he was using a Plessy GS (which, for some reason, was dealing sleep status. I'm sure that'll make sense one day...), of which I rarely ever see people using great swords on Zinogre. Cool Points to him already. But more than that, he actually knew how to USE that great sword! He rolled after attacking, he triple charged the head (there were a couple of missed hits to the head while Zinogre was charging- bad luck on the timing is all I can say.), he threw in some blocking. HE DIDN'T WALK AROUND WITH HIS GREAT SWORD OUT. That alone proves he's much better than most of the people I saw during TGS 2012. True, it looked like his first time fighting Zinogre, but he learned his move set during the fight. At the beginning of the fight, there were some attacks that kept getting him. But, after awhile, you saw him start to pick up on the ques and tells and get out of dodge. Eventually, he even started counter attacking. It was nice watching the progression. All in all, not bad. It was definitely better than the other videos I posted. It was also funny at some points, such as when Zinogre's tail got cut off. (I won't tell you when it happened, I don't want to ruin it!) As for the ending, well... All I can say is that time limit is a little harsh, especially for people who more than likely are fighting these beasties for the first time. But a worthy effort nonetheless.

So what you are intending to say is that MH3U will support inter-region play? if so I look forward to hunting with heaps of forum members :D

By forum members I'm sure you meant just me :P. If that's the case, you know I'll tag you back for trolling me.
But to be back on topic, I believe its community interconnectivity. Perhaps some games will allow it, but I've heard of no intention of having MH region free.

I don't think region changing in the miiverse is indicative of inter-region play for MH3U. At all.
On the Wii you could change your region and get access to different stuff on the Wii Shop. At least until Nintendo realized that hole.

Wii =/= WiiU
And the servers for MH3U are by different companies.
Though no region free or cross region play has been confirmed, Tri nore the Wii can or should be used as reasons why MH3U would not have it.

I did not know this, I was just under the assumption Capcom USA was handling the servers (again, just assumption). Could this potentially mean more stability than what we're used to? What are your thoughts on the prospect of inter-region play?
