| What does one do when you have to go to a family reunion in North Carolina and you live in upstate New York? Well, it's a 13-hour drive, so...
It's been a while already, and I hardly remember where I started, which was the village HR Rathalos urgent. Did that, and then I decided I needed better armor, because grinding would be hard with just LR Wroggi. So, I went and made the HR Wroggi set.
That's cool, but it still takes me a decent amount of time to kill stuff. Well, I went to go upgrading my weapons. So, with the 8* quests open, I went through the key quests and then started grinding a lot of materials that I would need, including the rest of the LR ones. Then Brachydios comes along, and he hurts. I wasn't really in the mood for doing (rather difficult) 30-minute runs with my lovely Barbarian Blade to get the Slime weapons, so I just bided my time. And the 9* quests. Finally, the place where I could farm the large monsters and really start working on my weapons. Zinogre hunts are actually really fun to me, and I had no problem doing several runs for materials. Nargacuga is also manageable, but not as fun and more concentration-intensive, but I did get a lot of materials from that as well. At this point, I have a lot of weapons that are finally up to par, but I still need more. I just went through the rest of the key quests, enraging as they might be (I'm looking at you, Black Diablos). As of right now I'm sitting on an Ivory Lagiacrus urgent and missing only a couple of items for a few upgrades to weapons, and I still have my HR Wroggi armor set maxed out up to the Hvy Armor Spheres.
I also now have 8 Wyvern Stones, wtf? Can't complain, though I do wish the one Stone I got from Nargacuga was a second Medulla.

| ^Wyvern Stones are so common in this game.
As for my hunts - i really love cha-cha in Mock Melynx mask. Yesterday he gave me Dark Dragongem, Cloudy Moonshard and two A. Lagi Dynamo! Fisnished my Honed Blade set easily and than focus on getting hardhorns for Nether Lance. Got 2 hardhorns in 1 quest and made that lance, so overall it was great day. Also finished my Turban Shell (water Hunting Horn) awakening set.
Than i solo Savage. With evade+1 it is so easy that it's a bit of shame... the only problem is his belly which reflects white sharpness :/ I need to upgrade nether lance to it's final form, or just replace guard+1 on my set with Mind's Eye...

| Hoo boy, I had a terrible time with Nargacuga. I had my trusty Earplugs gunner armor set (Selene Helm, Selene Vest, Selene Guards, Selene Coat, Alloy Leggings S) it served me well....except for the fact that Nargacuga is one fast mofo. Holy crap, I kept getting off guard.
I ran out of most of my ammo, and just when I thought I was gonna die and lose the quest, Kayamba killed the sucker! A sigh of relief was had

| Getting tired of hunting C-Peco. dont get me wrong I like fighting the monster. Im tired of the fact that the only thin ghe summons is Jho... which can kill me in three-five hits. /mad/ summon a rath, or g jaggi. Guess that jus the way that misison is set up. Still need 2 more volt stones to upgrade the lagi GS. | |

| Firpi, do the 2 C-Peco Arena. They can't summon there (I think...).
Slickaxes are a pain, specially if you are not used to doing "Explorer" food combinations before going on hunts. I had the habit of always doing these, because I liked picking up extra stuff on my hunts. Having a lot of slickaxes to show was just a bonus in my case.

| Umm... just in case, I didn't mean "Arena Quest"... I meant, there are quests at the port that send you to hunt 2 C-Peco... I don't remember if it's available for high-rank, or if there is an equivalent.
If you have never been to the port, it will take you forever to get to that rank anyways...

| Actually, three of them, not two. [Advanced] Crimson Crisis, hunt 3 Crimson Qurupeco in the Volcano (unstable, Stygian Zinogre). It's a 7* Port quest.
The arena quest and the DLC quest are for one regular Qurupeco and one Crimson Qurupeco.
